FRIDAY MAY 27, 2022
Good Early Morning Judy ,
1:44am Nest time. Problem with sound on the H Mills Cam ... It is ticking .
TY Bev.
:chin: I hear it too, Bev - but I also hear it when I log into the cam directly. I checked the sound level on the cam, and it's not especially high - but Ken may have increased it a bit when the sound was low yesterday. I tried lowering it briefly and the clicks were still there, just a bit softer, so I put it back to 50% where I found it.

It may also be weather-related, though it seems too steady to be water dripping.

I'm going to be away part of the day (all good - Charlie and I will be doing a bit of work on the family farm that my nephew bought as part of the estate settlement when my brother died) - may be able to look at this a bit more later today or tomorrow.
Thank you Judy ! Take Care :huggie: .... I am out for a while .... I will post when I can.

Thanks, Heather! I've taken over the streaming for now, and will let Ken know. We may switch back to him tomorrow, or else we can keep it running from my computer until the next time the stream has a blip.

The Harrison Mills North cam went offline about 8:07 pm yesterday - the cam went to a blank screen when OBS, the software we use to convert the signal for YouTube, stopped receiving a signal, and neither Bev nor I are able to log into the cam directly using the normal zoomer link.

Heather and I both checked the BC Power Outages page (https://www.bchydro.com/power-outages/a ... e-map.html) and there are no reports of the power being out in the area.

We will continue to check the cam and the map, but it's looking as if it is an issue at the site.

The camera has gone offline and come back by itself a number of times before, so we are hoping for the best.

Hi Judy .. I am posting this here June 11
6:40 pm nest time . No change and I also have been checking the PTZ Cam

Last live feed was June 3 at about 9:58pm
I am hoping there is nothing wrong with the Cam..... this seems like a long time for the Cam not to come back one its own .JMO .Maybe an issue at the site . If that is the case, it will need a nest/ site visit .
Hope you and Charlie are having . had a wonderful time away ,
Hugs
Bev

4:21pm.......Just noticing at Delta2..........embedded cam seems to be blipping off every few seconds, then comes back on. Don't know if it is me or the cam so thought I'd better report it.

Oh, it just went black. And I see a spinning circle. And now it is back but blipping off again. Very windy today here.

Zoomer cam is ok.

ADDED: Once I hit the YT button for a new screen, the blipping stopped. :dunno:

White Rock CU was either flashing back and forth with a black screen or going back to the start of the dvr constantly, depending on the browser - and still seems to be doing that. WR WA wasn't. One of the Surrey cams was going to spinning circle often, the other wasn't. Maybe something with YouTube?

I'll mention it to Ken, but not sure there's a lot we can do.

Surrey North is doing something similar (Surrey South is fine) - and like White Rock CU, the cam is fine when I log in directly (and I checked and there was only one of us in at a time, so that wasn't a factor).

I've sent a message to Ken so hopefully he'll be able to do something.

The DVR part seems to be working fine, so if you just have the cam up to keep an eye on it, having it playing what happened five minutes ago might be more peaceful.

Friday, June 24

Ken will be doing some work on his server later today, so all the embedded cams will be offline while that happens. This should not affect the ability of zoomers to use the cams, but will reset the dvr.

Both Surrey embedded cams just went offline - I'm thinking Ken is doing his updates now.
