12:44 pm from Surrey, the north cam is frozen at 10:39 am and the south cam is running behind at about 20 minutes, right now at 12:26 pm. Just logged into the cams and the south zoomer cam is showing nothing but black but the north zoomer cam is fine. Now at 12:51 the south zoomer cam has returned but behind in time and jerky movements like the embedded south cam.
Thanks, Sandy! I just logged briefly into both cams and had a black screen for a second, then they looked OK and showed the correct time. South stream was very choppy on rollback, but looks OK now. North stream is still frozen so I'll send an email to GLS.

4:13 pm from Surrey, since the north cam was brought back online from being frozen this morning, this afternoon the north embedded cam goes through a series of pixilation. This shows the worst of it.

Boundary Bay - Tues, Aug 13

Seems as if both cams stopped streaming at 8:16am.

As of about 12:50 pm pacific time, all of our cam streams went to "unavailable"; I checked with Michael at Green Light Security which is streaming the cams, and he said that their internet was down. It's now close to 6 pm, and the streams are still all offline, though zoomers should be able to log into the cams directly.

I've had a long day, so may not be back to follow up on this until the morning - have a good evening, everyone!

As of 2:30 am, all cams are streaming and back where they belong on the Live Cams page - thanks, Michael from GLS and all others involved in making this happen!

Good morning Judy,
It looks like all the HWF cams are off line (unavailable) this morning. I will keep checking back in.

I just checked several of the cams and they are fine, so I'm guessing something went down at GLS. I'll send a message to Michael and Ken.

Hi Judy, Do you know why the North cam has been docked showing the neighborhood and not the water? We could hear on cam they were cutting trees below when they were onsite. I hope the cam is ok. Thanks, Sandy

I rewound a little this morning and caught the nest in the dark as the camera moved. We can see in the nest from the North cam again! Wonderful!

Thanks, Sandy! I apologize for not getting back to you - busy with family stuff yesterday. I thought I sent a message to the zoomer team, but it may not have gone through - Ken (and maybe Michael) were doing some work on the North cam, I think with the hope of fixing the issue where the cam keeps lagging behind. As part of that, they did a reset that I believe deleted the presets. When I saw the cam was looking towards the owner's house, I went in to move it to the nest. Right after I did that, the cam jumped to looking out over the trees in the neighborhood. I assumed someone was on the cam, and got off. I had intended to follow up with the observer team to see if that was intentional, or if I should try to move it to the nest again - but didn't do that yesterday, and by the time I looked this morning, the cam was showing the nest and perches.

Last I knew, Ken had a couple of other things he wanted to do, so the cam may end up in a strange position again some time next week.
