Hello all ! Happy Monday.
Sue, thank you for family moon s'cap. Look at all the stars that were out that night.
If I remember correctly we really did have mostly calm weather that long extended season.

Hello MaryF  Nice to see you ! Glad you could sneak in some time away from forum while you have a chance.
Before we know it season 11 will be here !
Thank you, for providing us with this summer's forum thread. It has made off season time more enjoyable, and I have learned many new things. I agree with Sue, we all have been 😇

Thank you Lady Hawk for the tribute to Junior, and Malala's unique nest mate relationship that grew between two different raptors species.

Today is...
Global Sleep Under The Stars Night.
(check out the Meteor Shower while your out there)
Thanks for all the morning s'caps.
Have a good day !
Later peeps !

Hello LP, no I'm typing. It takes me a while. I'm not using all my fingers like I'm suppose to. :mihihi:
Then I have to proof-read, don't want any mistakes. Which usually happens anyways ;)

 Good afternoon everyone! Two years ago today E16 departed on his/her life journey.
E16 was born to fly...remember E16's hatch. Even though it took forever,
E16 wanted to fly out of his/her shell.
Lady Hawk's video of E16 winging out of his/her shell:

8/8/20 E16's last visit on the outer attic before departure. The sun seemed to be
a spotlight on him/her. These are the times I would love to know what they are thinking.

*****I remember watching that morning. E16 visited almost every branch, tree and area
that morning, then spent time with E15 at the pond before saying goodbye to her
and launching off at 1012 and last seen around 1018. I can still hear E16 squeeing as he/she
circled the pasture and across the street.

:ty: Lady Hawk for the video of E16's good bye:

Suemac, I don't think I'll ever forget E16's departure, nor the lump in me froat it brung. Nor the events of the prior evening -- E16 purloining the half-fish and flying off with it, leaving E15 totally gob-smacked. In fact, I believe E15 sat up all night on the porch.

Do you remember how, after E16 left, E15 flew all over the place looking for him? :( An awesome pair of surprise EEs.

Most definitely Grosbeak! E15 had pushed E16 off the nest earlier in the day- no food involved. E16 taking the food from E15 and flying off the nest with it was just another sign of independence.
E15 seemed lost for another 86 days. E15 just needed to find her way....and she did...finally.
It was a very special season, one that I will never forget.
