Good morning everyone. Happy Hump Day ! 🐪

 LP, that's funny about tom sawyer Facebook page. But I suppose there is nothing to stop them from creating a whole new page.
Then start spreading untrue, misrepresentation of information, all over again. Isn't that the way those sites work ?

Sue TY for info on Fiona. Happy birthday to her.
Here is hoping E17 and E18 are having the best eagle life ever. :rh:.

Be safe, all who in the path of winter storm Kassandra.
Have a great day !

Happy Hump Day!
Amazing information about camels.
Check this 4 minute you tube video about camels.
Did you know there was three different breeds of camels?
And did you know a camel can drink 30 gallons of water in 10 minutes? :w00t:

Hey lovinnature! How is it that they name snow storms and give them a female name?
Maybe they alternate?
We are getting snow and it is turning to rain. They closed schools today. I think the NE will get it worse than here.

Lazy Parrot- the horse in your s'cap is Shadow. Shadow is one of the new horses this season along with Venus
the feisty little one. Shadow has a white left rear foot.

Laura G- congrats on the eggs on the Duke Farms nest! Can't wait to see them.

Hello Peggy, Sunnybird and everyone else. Is Joshua crawling or walking yet?

Hi Suemac (and everyone!), Josh is 5 months old so he is working on rolling over. The way he moves his legs I can tell he will be really speedy when he starts crawling and walking. He does a lot of babbling too. Can’t wait til he starts forming real words. He’s really good at grabbing things and found his thumb too. He loves looking at himself in the mirror. What do you think the E’s would do if they saw their reflection in a mirror?? Would they bonk the mirror??
Best wishes,

Peggy :)

 Hi everyone. Nice to see a some activity on this site---was getting boring. So, thanks to all who posted.
Lovinnature--I think that Tom Sawyer can just limit who sees his posts. Not sure how that works --ask Suemac.
Gee Peggy. 5 months old already--will soon be in college!
Thanks for info on Camels and telling us the Horse's names SueMac. And happy birthday Fiona.
Laura G. those sure are a nice looking pair of eagles. Keep us posted--hope they have a successful year.

Hello everyone !
LP, I agree, it was getting boring here. I always look here first before the SWFEC forum. :oops2:

Peggy, thanks for the Joshua update. Made me laugh about the speed and his thumb. :D
Fun times for sure ! Thanks for the link on the birds and mirrors.

Sue, thanks for this weeks humpty. Love those big lips :D
Camel link was interesting. 7-8 " of heavy, wet stuff. Then we have more coming. :sigh:
Schools were all closed today and many tomorrow too.
I'm eating a bowl of Fruit Loops and back out to finish my shoveling, for the night.
Then it's time to watch the eagles.

Hello sunnybird thanks for the first morning s'caps. :thumlft:

Good Night everyone ! :cloud9:

 Bad news---the Tom Sawyer facebook link works today. Must have been a temporary glitch. Wish for permanent glitch for that character.

Good morning! Suemac, just saw the camel info this morning. I was surprised to hear that their humps hold fat stores, I always thought they stored extra water! Thanks for the info. 🙂

Lazy Parrot, I have found with Facebook that if you just ignore objectionable things you won’t see much of them. The more you look for that post, the more Facebook likes it because you keep coming back. Best thing you can do is not keep looking at things that bother you. Just my 3 cents.
Best wishes,

Peggy :)

Good point Peggy. I was thinking need to see what that person is up to to counteract. However, you are probably right that it is better to ignore it--esp. with Facebook that likes the number of views. Also, people that stir up trouble probably crave attention. Your point is well taken and I will ignore that site from now on.

 Hello LP, Peggy. People think they can say whatever they want on line. They hide behind their screen putting out anything they think of. Whether it's copying other's words and all out fiction !
Just to get views. It is a very sad world "the internet".

Yep, lovinnature, have to take the bad along with the good that we get from the internet.

I remember the challenger explosion all too well. My kids were small and I remember seeing it on tv. Glad they are remembering those and the other astronauts we have lost. I think one of them from challenger was a musician, if I recall properly.
Best wishes,

Peggy :)

 Good afternoon everyone!
Peggy- that was funny watching the crows with their reflections.
Supposed to be smart birds, but yet don't realize they are seeing themselves.
Joshua is in a discovery phase and I bet he will be saying "Grandma" soon. I remember
taking pictures of all my boys looking in a mirror. Precious moments.

lovinnature- I remember when the Challenger exploded. I was working in CCU that day
and watching it on TV with one of my patients. A very sad day, but thankfully
there have been more successes than failures.

Re: Tom Sawyer's FB negative post: He really is just expressing his concerns,
but not thinking how it affects others. Sometimes it is hard to stay positive.
The internet and FB is not the problem- it is how you use it.

.....which brings me to this you tube video that I watch from time to time on
how to rise above negativity. Just happens to involve an eagle and a crow.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-nkfj3wk7eg

And while you watch the you tube video, help yourself to some peanut brittle.
I especially love peanut brittle made with almonds or cashews.
Never had it with chocolate, but yeah how can that not taste good?
