It's International Bagpipe Day! My great grandmother came from Scotland and every year on her birthday
we would have a bagpiper come and she would dance to the music. Btw she lived to be 112 years old.

Interesting information on the "bag of pipes" :mihihi:

This was my great grandmother's favorite tune on the bagpipes:

Good Morning everyone ! Happy Friday.
Hello from Winter Wonderland Michigan ! :snow: That's what it say on our license plates.
3-5, or 6-8, no one can say for sure how much we will get. Just praying I don't loose power again.

LauraG, Thank Suemac, she is the one who turned me on to the "new/old fashion" word. Thank you Sue.

I have been checking the Latvia nest. Remember the beautiful Latt-E. (See page # 31). They should be back soon.
Live stream is not up yet. It is 23° F and light snow there too.
Now I'm also wondering how Malala, is doing ? The sweet little hawklet.

Also throwing out a HELLO to Sunnybird ! Hope all is well with you. We miss you

Today is...
International Bagpipe Day. (I love the sounds of the bagpipe).
Enjoy the music. Scottish bagpipes.

Hello Sue, once again you type faster than me !! :mihihi: I was listening to the music.
Amazing Grace always brings tears to my eyes. Had to regroup before finishing my post. I picked a different song.

JudyB, Hello, I agree, good medicine for the soul for sure. :)

Nothing like being on the same BANDWAGON lovinnature! Hello Judy- so good to see you here keeping an eye on us! I couldn’t help but not think of my great grandmother- she was an amazing person and a big influence on my life. She was a good baker too and taught me how to crochet. There is a Scottish song that we sing around the campfire but I won’t post here in the forum, but if you get the chance google “ The Scotsman Song” by Bryan Bowers. It is sure to bring a smile.

Amazing about your grandma, Suemac, 112, wow! Bagpipes are cool. Hope everyone is ok with the snow. None here, only my son got some but he always does. Thank you all for your great posts and have a great day! Hoping for a good one at the nest. ❤️🦅
Best wishes,

Great Spirit Bluff Peregrine Falcon Cam:

A very noisy peregrine flies to the nesting box. A smaller peregrine will fly out.
Defending nest? Then the peregrine will roost on a branch below the nesting box.

 Good afternoon everyone! Well, the weather forecast was way overrated. The 4-6 inches was mostly snow flurries
and never accumulated. I cancelled dinner plans with friends tonight because of the weather forecast. No doubt lovinnature
did get snow though. I was up most of the night with my pup Reese. Something happened to her left rear paw and she woke me up.
Tried to soothe her with some cool compresses but she didn't want me to touch it. I finally got her calmed down and gave her one of my Prednisone pills. Reese finally went to sleep and I went back to bed around 0700. Reese is still favoring her foot but is doing better this afternoon.

Hope Reese’s foot is ok, Suemac! Another storm coming in a couple of days. We’ll see who gets what. Those falcons are very pretty, LP.
Best wishes,

Peggy :)

 Peggy. Have a nice day. Lovinnature ---no Harriet videos yet!!!
The Peregrine Falcon at the GSB was perched on the nest box this morning before daylight. It kept bobbing it's head---don't know what that means.

 Good Sunday morning! A new day, a new week.
It is National "I AM" Day.
Read the following to yourself:

I AM. . .
I AM beautiful and unique.
I AM strong and independent.
I AM grateful for a new day.
I AM thankful for the life I have.
I AM an amazing human being.
I AM resilient and brave.
I AM more than enough. I AM enough.
I AM learning to become the best version of myself.

This is the nest where Rosie came from. It is located in a suburb of Pittsburgh, Pa along the Monongahela River.
They have laid only one egg this year on 2/28/23

*** Update on Reese: so with the help of hubby yesterday, I was able to get a close view of Reese's paw and discovered the problem.
She had her last two toes crossed and they were stuck. A simple lift of the toe and back in place and " all better ". How she did that I
will never know.

Nice looking eagles Suemac. Are these the ones that you watch every year? Poor Reese---how on earth ??!! Hope she knows better than to do that again. :) Glad you and your hubby found the problem---would have been embarrassing if you had taken her to a vet--crossed toes
