Good morning all ! Happy Thursday !
I'm sure you all are watching that beautiful new eaglet. But I was sent a link to a story that I just had to share.
https://www.facebook.com/OddCouplesDodo ... ef=sharing

Wasn't Sue's recent video, about Birdzilla's rehab and release in Nova Scotia ?
Didn't they said eagles are not normally that far North. Which was a surprise comment to me. Eagles are in Alaska.
Anyway I thought of Birdzilla when I seen my video. Sure hope it wasn't her. :luck:
(sue's story)

Nova Scotia needs to brush up on the Eagles. Seems they have more in their area then they think. :)
Great rescue story lovinnature. I knew Nova Scotia was a province in Canada, but that is about all I knew.
So I decided to find out where it was. Perhaps because it is one of the Atlantic provinces that they haven't
seen that many eagles. Maybe MaryF if she reads this can ask David Hancock for input.

Nova Scotia is one of the thirteen provinces and territories of Canada. It is one of the three Maritime provinces and one of the four Atlantic provinces. Nova Scotia is Latin for "New Scotland". Most of the population are native English-speakers, and the province's population is 969,383 according to the 2021 Census. Wikipedia

Hello Sue. That would be great if Mary could consult with David. I'd like to know too. With the population so large in Alaska you would think there would be many eagles in Nova Scotia. Maybe because it is a peninsula, surrounded by four major bodies of water, birds don't go that far out.
Guess we should say Hello, to our friend up to the north.

Just want to say good morning and thank you for all the updates at SWFEC. It helps so much when I don’t get a chance to watch as much as I’d like. Hope everyone has a great Friday!
Best wishes,

Peggy :)

Exactly Peggy! There can never be too many posts. I have been there when you don't have time to watch the cams.
It is so helpful when everyone posts their observations. It also might be an important post that days later is relevant.
We are documenting and learning about these amazing eagles. Have a good weekend Peggy and tell little Joshua hello.

Hello all ! Happy Friday !
Hello LP, take care of that finger ouchy !
 Peggy, Sunnybird, LauraG, and Sue.
I agree, I miss too much in the day. Only have time to watch at night. As they always say... Team work !

Today is...
National Cuddle Up Day. :)
What better way to stay warm and reap the health benefits. Cuddling releases oxytocin. This hormone alone has tremendous health benefits. Besides giving us warm and fuzzy feelings, oxytocin reduces pain. So when the cold has made muscles and joints ache, cuddling can help reduce those aches and pains. Oxytocin also helps reduce heart disease, lowers blood pressure, stress, and anxiety.
Sends hugs to you all !

National Shortbread Day. 😋

Enjoy your day !

 Hi Lovinnature. Thanks for the hugs and back at you.
P.S. Thumb feeling better---ice packs are worth their weight in gold. I always keep a couple in the freezer---the kind with the pretty little beads inside. :)

I made beef barley and mushroom soup yesterday while waiting for E22 to appear. Cool today in Florida. Anyone care to stop by for a nice hot bowl of the soup? :D
