In Memoriam
As we watch the various cams, and share pictures and stories of the various eagles and osprey and other wildlife featured on them, some of them find a special place in our hearts. And sadly, sometimes those special young ones - and occasionally older ones - pass away far too soon.
This is a place where we can share our favorite pictures and memories of those who have crossed the rainbow bridge.

Re: In Memoriam
Thanks JudyB to make this thread as i asked you.
Normally i used to write the name of those who fly over the Rainbow Bridge in the signature window of my profile.
With this new perfect and wonderful new forum we have a 255 character limit for this windo, so not enougth for me.
Just a little recall of all the lovely birds, i crossed their way for a day, a month or less even an hour, but they imprinted me so much i can't let them going away from me without a little sign.
At the end of 2017, this sentence followed me a part of the year (growing badly)
In Memory of: DH3. DN6. Freedom, Justice and Hope from Minnesota Bound. Hope, mother from Fulton Nest (Trio). Solo from Redding (Ca), BE female or male from Fox River Valley (Wi). Dad Honeycomb from Harrison Mills (BC). SE 19 and the intuder female (Sea Eagles) from Sydney (Aus). Aspen and Sierra, Bailey siblings, ospreys from Audubon Hog Island (Ma). Big Little Squirt osprey from PLH nest (Ma). the 2 chicks ospreys from Belwood Lake. Cottonball and Snowflakes, falconets from Melbourne Nest (Aus).
Rip 2017
Bald Eagle
MIA March 24 - Fulton Trio Nest: Lovely mother Hope (after a last battle to protect Sunny and Stormy her Eaglets.) + March 25 - Dale Hollow: DH3 Little Princess (for me) (sibling rivalries), the little left one on the pic + April 4 - Decorah North: DN6 (cold and lack of food) The rear little one.

Thank you. Such a beautiful tribute Philjo. May they all soar high and free above us and watch over all those that come after them. Let us not forget but move on and enjoy the beauty God has given us in these marvelous creatures he has created.

This is a tribute and dedication for Decorah eagle Dad. Dad Decorah has been missing since 04.18.2018 after a snowstorm and has not been seen since. Are hearts are heavy, and fear of the unknown has all but consumed us not knowing what happened to Dad Decorah. Mom Decorah has been doing well on her own and is taking excellent care of her eaglets without Dad, and as hard as it is Mom has shown her strength and will to be the best Mom to her eaglets. Dad's disappearance is truly a mystery and we may never know the answer to the many questions that go unanswered.
Thank you to all the people and agencies involved who have searched for days for Dad.
