Hey Nesties

Here is a picture of SDP miracle girl Daisy, by Spuddy. This is the pup Carlene and Judy worked so hard on at birth

 to Friday Evening

I've read but not posted the last few days. Judi&Gary, I am sorry to read of the loss of your friend. So sudden & such a horrible thing to happen. Condolences to you 2 & all that were part of their life. :(

Spuddy looks to be the picture of health after her struggle at birth, Iona. What joy it much bring to the hearts of SDP staff to see a miracle like that. :rh:

Carolyn, ScottyBear :huggie:

We've been doing some mowing & when needed cutting lumber for Colin's boardwalk. The heat & humidity are an energy zapper. We take it at our own pace but still, whew.

It's good to know we supposedly have the hottest summer weather behind us; just waiting to see the evidence. :D

Hugs all around. :bye 1:

Cute pic of Daisy Iona. That has to be such a great feeling being rewarded with a healthy pup when the outcome could have been so different. :)

It's never any fun working when it's too hot Naoma. Hopefully they're right about the weather being a little cooler. :)
We've had mid 70's here the last few days and that's perfect for me.

For anyone interested in watching:

The Delta2 nest cams https://hancockwildlife.org/delta-2-cams/ are scheduled for cleaning this afternoon at 4:30 pm Pacific time barring unforeseen problems at the nest. The tree is not in very good shape and the climber may decide it is too precarious to climb.

Thanks for the cam cleaning link Sharon. It was cool to see angles from each cam showing how much work was involved. They're almost finished now. :)

Hope all are well. Good here. A heat reprieve of late with rain too. :thumlft:
Working out in the heat, humidity, even early day in shade is too much.

Loving the bear & SDP updates. :ty: :ty:

I've not seen my local osprey lately. Most of the yard birds are scarce for the most part. Only see squirrels occasionally since I cut back on the sunflower buffet. :)
Looking forward to fall now.

Good to know the delta2 cleaning agent well gemini :thumlft:

Hugs all around. :)

Nice to hear you're getting a little cooler temps Naoma. :)
It cooled off a little more than I like here today. Raining and only in the 60's.

Braveheart! Oh so wonderful....She is one you tend to hear of but not see of, so to see her, is sublime.

I will gladly trade temps with either Scott or Iona, now I know Scott won't go along with this, but maybe Iona? You can have our 90's and we'll take your 80's? OK, I guess not.

Can you imagine how excited Dr. Rogers was to see Braveheart?

I kind of anticipated that "no thanks", Iona. Hopefully we won't have it too much longer here quite so hot.

My husband is up in the Texas Panhandle at Caprock Canyon State Park. He has seen bison, bison and calf, prairie dogs, turkey, and gorgeous canyon land. He wanted a camping trip for a few days and I of course said "go for it". Camping is not high on my list, not even on my list, I am glad he is having fun. Bleu had some medical issues but back on track now, been tending to that.

Nice to hear Bill is enjoying his camping trip and that Bleu is better Carolyn. :)
That was good news about Braveheat yesterday. It must be a relief for Dr. Rogers every time he sees one of the study bears after not seeing a certain bear for any length of time.

 Iona
75 and sunny here today so I'm happy too.

Well the temp. reprieve is over unless we get an afternoon shower to cool us down. It's not unusal but they are generally hit & miss. Oddly enough Florida's heat is normally in July instead of August when most others are at the peak of summer heat.
Fortunantly when we do outside work we can pick our time & take plenty of breaks when needed. Still wears us out.
September is closing in.

A person can feel the joy in Dr. Lynn's words when he sees an old friend, Scott. Braveheart is a beautiful bear.

Iona, you can also see the joy in all the SDP crew as they raise each & train each litter. Donkey's too. :)

Sounds like Bill's having all the fun, Carolyn. :D
I'm guessing you are busy with family & therapy events.
Glad Bleu is doing well now. Z's been battling allergies of some sort. Just as we think the culprit is certain pollen, that season ends but the allergy still hangs on. He's on apoquil for itching; it's mostly on his stomach. The puzzle continues.

Good day wishes all :bye 1:
