  Hey Scott and Naoma

The puppies are doing great Don't get between little #4 and the milk bar. She's so cute

Carlene thinks Sizzle will be early and start having pups on the 30th instead of the 31st. Her temp dropped to 98.6 and wife's tale says the means about 12 to 24 hours.

Will keep you updated

Love and hugs to all

Hi all.....a note for Iona....you know of the Donkey and Equine rescue in Plantersville TX, I know. You suspected several donkeys went to them at one point. Well yesterday on our walk, we encountered the man who runs it and he was talking to us about it. They have a little donkey who survived long odds and is their representative at hospitals, schools etc. He sounds adorable. At any rate, I thought of you when he filled us in. We saw the place when on to a meeting for my therapy pet pals group and it is amazing. A side note...a good friend of my husband (former employee) has two of their donkeys planning to adopt. What goes around, comes around.

Good luck with the puppies, birthing has its issues. We had a problematic litter of Siamese kittens once, in an ice storm in Georgia, no heat, what an experience. Most of them made it!

What bad timing, all the SDP cams are down. Hope we don't miss any births. They are working on the problem.

Nice story about your meeting with the man running the Donkey and Equine rescue Carolyn. :)
I was just catching up on the news before checking here and most of that is about people doing horrible things to others.

Thanks for the updates and pics of Sizzle's new pups Iona. Good to see the cam is back online. :)

Carolyn Sorry I didn't answer to your post earlier, but was on puppy watch. I am not sure which rescue in Texas Janine is associated with, but do know some of the funds from ERN go to Texas. Would be interesting to find out. I'll try to remember to ask her, next time we contact each other.

Poor Carlene, she loves her harls, and sweet #5 was a harl, She and Judy tried hard to bring her around, but Just could not do it.

That's OK Iona.......This is a huge rescue here in Plantersville, right by the Renaissance Festival. It sounds like it is run by a man who has as much devotion as this Service Dog Project. He said they are the only donkey rescue in Texas I believe?
I hope the pups thrive, they have a full house. As I stated birthing is difficult and things happen. Hugs....

Scott, people can be wretched. I think we get discouraged as we get older when we see unnecessary bad treatment from people.
Keep up your spirits.......

 to hopefully a good morning for everyone.

So many puppies in the house, Iona. :)

Judi, it's great you have flowers for the hummers right there at your window. You got a good pic !
Hope your elbow is improving.

Carolyn, hope things are well with you & family. :)

We are waiting for rain here. Badly needed rain. The humidity is easier to handle when a rain shower helps keep the temp down. We are mostly lower 90's but heat index can be over 100 deg.
Not many mosquito issues unless you stir them up in the grass or weeds. Suprising to me, I expected more mosquito problems.

Scott, I think you ask once about mosquitos here & I can't remember if I answered. :%:

:bye 1: for now.

Yes, Naoma things are well with my family. I will be with them for a week starting tonight, here and around. Have a good week....yes, humid here too. Mosquitoes can be a nuisance at the wrong times.
It's been hot, yuck.

Good to hear the skeeters aren't as bad as you thought they'd be Naoma. You've answered it now. :D

Have fun on your family visit Carolyn. :)

iona, I have to wonder how much food a mother Dane has to eat in order to produce enough
milk for such a large litter as Gabby's.

Evenin' hugs :) ,

We briefly visited a place called Cedar Key, southeast of here this afternoon. I'm sure it's just me, but suprising how local people live off what seems tourist industry.

I just saw Marg's message. Going there now.

Thanks for the pic of Sizzle's pups and weights for both litters Iona. :)

Thank you for letting us know about your conversation with Ian, Marg.
It was good to hear you and Kay talked to him and passed along our condolences. Lynda had said long ago that he doesn't check the forums. I hope you and Earl are doing well.
