Maybe arrived at the farm a couple months ago, and they couldn't decide if she was pregnant, or had just weaned a baby. I guess we know now

No Judi, Bleu is just fine. She is 12 and has passed her 12th birthday, not gone. She is actually doing better now than she had for a long time. She had been sick, but it turned out to be her thyroid which must be monitored as off again, and we upped the medicine so she is doing great. I just came on for the first time in a long time, sorry I missed your first note.

So Einstein singing "My Way", unreal. I love the picture of the eaglet branching.

The dog in Lynda's video is not hers, it is her friend's dog Keiko. The owner went with them when they went up to their few days retreat bringing his dog.

I read back and now understand how you thought Bleu had passed Judi. I retired her from doing therapy dog work last March (last year) and so she is "gone" from the nursing home, with Andi taking over for her and also another retriever a friend of mine owns. She is only gone from the nursing home not from our home. Thanks for caring though.....

Good for you getting your first aid stuff updated Pat. :)
I haven't thought about that for years (20 + I'm sure) and it is something that one should keep current just in case.

I need the morning greet to know what day it is Carolyn. :mihihi:

Nice s'caps of the E's Judi. :)

Cute s'caps of the Eagle Country hatchling Iona. :)

Good Morning All,

Scott - so you need the morning greet to make you look at the calendar huh :mihihi: Can't blame you I must check my watch several times a day just to remember what day it is. Updating CPR and fist aid is pretty important, I learned that several things have changed since the moons ago I took it. For instance they now say have a person sit and tilt their head forward (not back so they don't swallow blood) and not to try to pack the nose when someone gets a nose bleed. You still have them pinch the nose gently though to apply a little pressure. CPR has changed too. I also learned to use a portable defibrillator which is good.

Hope everyone has a great day, hugs :grhug:

Good Morning All,

Well, after 3 days of freezing mornings & highs only 50 deg., with wind, I can say I've had my fill of winter weather. :D

I'm certainly enjoying all the nest s'caps, Iona. It's great to see so many thriving. Also the new baby donkey is so sweet. Some of them bring back fond memories of the ones I had next door in tx.

JuD, yours too. It is odd tho to see grown eaglets already in SW Florida while the northern nests are just starting good.
Big E :rh:

Wind, its fun reading of your outings and how much you enjoy them. :thumlft:

I'm glad to know I'm not the only one needing a reminder of what day it is, Scott & Carolyn.
It's easy to lose track if you're not writing a date every day. Sometimes I even get my days of the week mixed up. Oh well.

Whoever invented the calendar was genius. :D

elle, your Tofino trip pics were marvelous!

:bye 1: for now.

Talking about mixing up days.....You know when you have children and are driving them someplace (always doing that for some reason) and your car is going.......and you are merrily listening to music and the kids laughing and you suddenly find yourself going an entirely different direction that you were intending......? Days mixed up! That happened back in NJ sometimes.

Now then, there were the times that we lived on a small lake in NJ and it froze over and the roads did too and they were hilly (very) and icy (very) and instead of driving, you were skating?????? In a car? Not the best scenario I can tell you. One beautiful thing about living on that lake was the winter ice skating when it had frozen over solidly. It was spectacular. Sometimes though when you got the several miles to the other end of the lake going back you had a headwind and it was very SLOW, but fun. Oh and the trip to the other end of the lake on skates was fast with wind pushing you, even more fun. It was an entire family activity including my parents, friends, etc.

Texas is different, just had very cold weather, now warming up again, just uncovered the plants for freeze protection and all is good. I do love the cobalt blue sky!
smiles and funny rememberances.....

Ice skating on the lake sounds like great fun Carolyn. :)
There have been a few winters when the ice has been thick enough here and we always had a blast.

Just got back from taking Einstein on a trip with us to Vanier Park to see the eagles and how many are trying to feed off the False Creek Herring Run (usually watch it at Hornby Island cam) but this year the Herring are in False Creek and causing a lot of problem with people shooting off fire works so that the seals won't eat all the Herring in Burrard Inlet (bad thing to do in my and Gary's eyes) but theres plenty in ?False Creek.....got a photo of Pa Vanier Park sitting in the old nest tree at Vanier checking out all the herring mm good he says plenty of fish to feed my bobbles this season March 2019 :eag: :hatch: :hatch: :eag: can't see if theres eggs in the nest or not :chin: only time will tell

Happy Saturday, folks

I saw there was a new den cam in PA Scott. I wasn't able to load the page from the email tho. I'll try again from Dr. Lynn's link. BTW, him reminiscing was great.

JuD, great s'caps from SW FL & pics from your Vanier trip. :)

Good day wishes, NestYas :bye 1:

I agree, Dr. Lynn's remembrances were fabulous. Cool den views of the bear under the house.

Thanks for the nests Judi, nice successful eaglets is good to see, especially since I do not follow any nests, just osprey when they come back. :)
