Cool views, thanks Iona.......and Scott for bears.....etc., and reminder of time.
Eagles in nests,
bears at rest,
the time has changed,
and flowers in bloom.
Azaleas out my window,
pink and rose and beautiful,
after a cold spell,
now a warm spell.
How about no spell?
Just normal weather?
Eagles in nests,
bears at rest...it's all good.

Good evening, All. I guess that depends on what time zone you're in & if you use daylight savings time.
Great nest views, Iona. You covered a lot of nests!
Carolyn, Weather's actually been just right for the last few days. I know the humidity is just around the corner.
Love your words.
We did some things last week that kept us pleasantly busy. One day we picked up limbs at the shop in preparation for mowing season. Another day we cut Colin a pallet of boardwalk planks with a miter saw. We did it out at Ferrel's back barn. Except for having to listen to the generator at times, it was a pleasant place to work. Piddled in the yard here some. Spring is in the air.
This afternoon I was raking/tidying up at the back porch door. I picked up the cylinder smoker & set it out of the way. When I set it back in place a snake crawled out & between my bare feet!
The whole reason for raking was to avoid walking out with a snake there I didn't see.

An old windmill that drips water into the equally old cane syrup kettle below.
The history of this place is very interesting, as is the story of most places; just a different speck of the planet.
Sorry about the sideway view. A click turns it upright for me.

Zeke did a great job of supervising. You should hire him out for those who need inspiration.
Fascinating days, thanks for sharing. I have a funny story to share. Andi carries pine cones on our walks and Bill kicks it for her to which she runs to get it and thence and onward all the way. Well, we were stopped at a shopping center, with her under a bench. Down the sidewalk comes three young folks kicking a pine cone. They kicked it sort of near her, she dashed out and snatched it and they said "She took our pine cone!". It was a hoot....she returned it. They loved it and we got a huge chuckle out of it.

Love the windmill picture with dog therein. I collect windmill pictures, many from Long Island, beautiful.

Lovely poem Carolyn.
Cute story about Andi and the pine cone. Nice of her to return it to the kids.
Cool pics of the pallet work & windmill along with Z Naoma.
Good to hear the close encounter of the slithering kind turned out well.
I watched "Equus: Story of the Horse" a couple of weeks ago and anyone who enjoys horses should find it interesting. There are 3 episodes and you should be able to watch all in Canada and the U.S.. Links to the other episodes should be on the same page. All episodes are very educational.

Good Morning All,
Carolyn - love the story about Andi
Tex, nice pics
Iona - thanks for the eagle updates - Mr P. is looking fine
Spent the weekend disconnected - shut off my phone and computer and just had quality time with my husband. Sunday was beautiful mostly sunny and 71 (even though on Friday it was cold and we had snow) - ah March the weird weather patterns. Now I have tons of emails to wade through - oh well.
Hugs all around

Yep, sounds like our weather here....One day 28, the next 82. Notice what happened there? They just reversed!
I adore Stripe the Mink stories. Dr. Lynn has a gift. Currently I have Andi at my feet, Pebbles on the perch my husband made for my desk and window, azaleas outside, and Mieko (the insect killer who just did just that) on the other perch scratching post....most likely ready for mischief. Life is interesting.
Enjoy your day and week!

Had a blast with grandkids on Saturday, two five year olds, can definitely lift up a smile. Especially playing "Guess the animal" with them.......it was fun.
