 Carolyn

I hope you and Gary will heal quickly Judi. :)
Bursitis is a pain but can be dealt with. I've had it in both shoulders for over 30 years.

Hello friends

Until yesterday it has been hot & humid. Even working outside early is not much help. A front actually made it all the way down & into the gulf. More comfortable outside now but summer will be back shortly.

Hope healing comes quickly, Judi & Gary. Take care.

Thirty years is a long time to live with pain, Scott. I know you are well versed in that. You are a strong willed man with a great attitude. :)

Iona, Carolyn, good to hear from you.

I'm thinking that growing older is making me stupid. I fell while cleaning the ceiling fan and have a big purple stamp to commemorate the experience.
Evidently I'm too old to stand on the bed to reach the fan. Why didn't I use the step ladder? :dunno:

The kids are off galavanting for the weekend so we are on "cat duty", pardon the pun. :)

Good day wishes all.

Sorry about your fall Naoma. Good to hear it wasn't anything worse than the bruise. :)
We are not getting stupid! Life is just continuing to educate us whether we want it or not. :mihihi:

Back yard report here.

Osprey adults are around, soaring daily, sometimes perching atop the high dead branch nub. No fledglings sited yet.

A hawk & its fledgling, maybe red shouldered, are around daily too. The fledgling squawking repeatedly from the nearby trees. The parent landed on a tree stub near & picked at prey. Binocs helped. ;)

How about you guys backyard?

In backyard have cardinals (gorgeous), chickadees, finch, lots of little birds, hawks, and around and about eagles!
It's fabulous to see them daily. We have blue heron, snowy egrets (everywhere), ducks, mallards, egyptian geese, regular geese, blackcrowned night heron, little green heron, etc.

It's been a bit cooler for a few days delightful. My cat Mieko had surgery to remove kidney stones and is slowly recovering from surgery....if I could just get her to eat it would be good. I am sorry for your bruise Naoma, and wow Scott 33 years with bursitis!
We all have something or other. Cool bear reports....Good Night all.

Cool that you're seeing the osprey and hawks regularly Naoma. :)
Nothing exotic around my yard. The most entertaining are the resident pair of crows who have 3 young this year. I put out a bigger bird bath for them and they love it. It was fun watching the adults teaching them. They can be a little noisy tho. :mihihi:

You have a wonderful selection of birds around Carolyn. :)
I hope Mieko's back to normal soon. The bursitis is no big deal if I stick to what I know I should or shouldn't be doing.

Hope everyone has a great weekend. :)

Good morning all.

Iona, Gabby is still in same position this morning. :)

Great bird observations everyone. They are so enjoyable to watch. I've finally learned some new bird calls/songs. It's always a challenge when they are in the trees hiding. :)

Carolyn, your neighborhood sounds like a bird resort. :)

Judi, you haven't mentioned Shine this summer. Seen him/her lately.

Scott, crows are so smart as we all know. I've never noticed any with obvious juvies. I never thought of parents teaching babes about a bath. That had to be fun to watch.

Ok, so " we are not getting stupid".
There went my lame excuse for doing something careless. :D

:mihihi: to life lessons continuing.

:bye 1: Later.
