Good Evening....Yes, I feel blessed. I had such fun when they went home as I went out and gave little gifts to some of the people I know that work at the Mall (free cookies, etc.). I love the reactions! Giving is so rewarding.

Naoma, my oldest grandaughter who is now married shares my birthday so she named my grandparent name, her name is Anna so I am Nana. Cool, eh? Congratulations on Ezra sharing your birthday and a truly delightful present for you. Happy Birthday to a wonderful lady who give so much to others.
Scott, you too, are giving and caring, thank you for that.
Iona, that is a lot of puppies! I am glad so many were well. Congratulations.

I did not mention that Andi's 5th birthday was December 22 (does she share with anyone here???). She had a great birthday and then lots of biscuits on Christmas Eve walk by random folks loving on the dogs. How sweet!

It was truly a great visit. I did not mention that my husband made the most gorgeous wind chimes for the family and for some friends, some absolutely huge with deep tones. The best comment came from my grandson who is 8 (my daughter's) when he was so thrilled with it. I told him that was why Papa made it for them to which he responded "We get to keep it" and was jumping up and down. Talk about feeling appreciated. They were synchronized to certain notes as in Westminster Chimes and then 3 tone chimes and also a Gong that is huge and wonderful. I feel when I hear them like I am back in Japan at the temples. (does that need explanation about back in Japan?)

Thank you Scott.....The story of E.O. Wilson and Lynn Rogers - wow! Life's direction can be fascinating. I had similar but not so significant in grad school as did my son in his physics work. It's amazing if you trust your direction and follow it.

From Sharon, Capri's mom: "Puppy 3- the little fighter that Carlene and Haley worked so hard and long to help along... we would like to name 'Nan' - as a special wink to Nanny Pam and also a nod to Haley and her first litter as head Nanny. The kids couldn't help but think that Pam had something to do with pushing that back over the bridge into the hands of Haley."
