Thanks, Philjo. My husband estimates 60-70 feet away. I've been taking so many eagle photos lately, that it's hard to remember. The camera zooms out to 600mm.
Not so far, thanks Lanie !

Little baby e14, you left us 2 weeks ago and I'm still so sad about your loss...

Fraser Point nest (California) had a visit of a near 2yo juvie yesterday !
But not one from Fraser Point... Saucy from Sauces Nest
Saucy was the one who was bonked by Corsair (the eldest) HP being the youngest. I remember at a moment we feared for her eye... yes, it's a female). She was recognised by her band she kindly showed to the cam.
It's a beautiful survivor. Nice to see her doing so great !

Philjo, thanks for the beautiful Pic of beloved Bailey !

Thanks for your comment on my photos, Pascale. Nice to see Saucy; always great when one returns and you know they are still doing well, on their path to adulthood.
Philjo, thanks for the update on Bailey. She has a good home, well cared for by Audubon. Such a pretty girl.

The person who lives in Japan said that a bald eagle was spotted at Notsuke Peninsula in Eastern Hokkaido on Jan 27. They said this was “the almost first sighting” in that country. The BE that was reported was a 4 year old though. Interesting, isn’t it?

Thanks, Peggy. Our new cam is Sony Cyber-shot DSC-RX10 IV. It was recommended by other eagle photographers to us. Fast shutter, up to 600mm zoom, and I love the fact that it's lightweight.
