My comment there
please rejoice for Rita if you think a little. 🙏🤞 Rita is rather lucky because how many other rehabilitation centers would have announced to us a long time ago that she was "humanely" euthanized...?🙏🤞

Dec 23, 01:08 PatchyJoe:
Heartbreaking: WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) –The Sedgwick County Zoo announced the death of its new baby chimpanzee, Kucheza, Thursday morning.
The zoo said keepers found the five-week-old deceased and cradled in his mother’s arms when they arrived Thursday morning.
The zoo said the baby chimp’s death was sudden and unexpected, leaving everyone heartbroken.“Mahale is not quite ready to part with him, but when our team is able, a full medical assessment will be done to determine the cause of death,” said the zoo.

jd_AEF — 06:36 Good Morning! Today we will be celebrating Samson’s hatch day. We will understand if you find it hard to watch this slide show but we do want to honor him, and remember all of the joy and blessings he brought to us, on his 9th hatch day. Some of the special photos were provided by Victoria and we thank her!

We still pray for your safe return, Samson…we will take good care of your Gabby in the meantime. We all love you sweet Samson!

Bald Eagles of Centerport, NY ·
Rob Schwartz · 15 h ·
In 2017 when I thought of the idea to document the daily lives of this pair of eagles - I decided that a community Facebook page would be a wonderful interactive way to share what a pair of bald eagles goes though everyday, we learned together every day, the ups and the downs, from the 1st nest fall to the fact we discovered together that there weren't just 2 eggs in the nest but 3!! We cheered these eagles on Day after Day going on to their 6th nesting season!
Today brings the saddest of sad news. I'm sorry. Dad passed this morning at 3:47AM - Dad was given the best treatment we could possibly ask for. We did the best we could do, but mother nature can be really hard on a pair of bald eagles.
I am devastated just writing this, and saying what happened sometimes is the hardest possible thing we can do. WE WILL MISS YOU DAD - You were simply the best. A necropsy will be done to determine Dad's cause of death..
This story is NOT over...

Mike Dukarm est avec Liz Schwartz et 5 autres personnes à Centerport, New York.
These are the last few videos I took of the eagles over the last few weeks … the last 2 clips were the other night. That is when I knew something was def wrong ! It was pitch black out but he was still in the pond. Then he flew into the woods and had a crash landing through the trees. Made some phone calls to try and to a quick look but it was way to dark … the clips right before that you can see how it was hard for him to even turn and the landing was especially tough … spoke to the people who knew best and they did what they do !!! It was a good effort but unfortunately this is nature !
