Just a check to Bonus the black storklet who found a new nest with new parents (Karl II and Kaia) and 3 new siblings

All is good for Bonus, the older and bigger one and the lone with a big numbered ring

Our oldest female, Traveler (171), born on 05/26/1997, was captured at the Pinnacles National Park pen on Friday, 06/24, after showing signs of lead poisoning. She is currently receiving emergency treatment at Oakland Zoo and is battling for her life.
Lead poisoning from ingestion of spent lead ammunition in animal carcasses is the leading mortality threat to free-flying condors and very difficult to treat once condors like Traveler are severely poisoned. If she can pull through this, Traveler will likely have a very long road to recovery.
A very special thanks to our partners at Oakland Zoo and Pinnacles National Park for responding so quickly to help Traveler.
Our Free Non-Lead Ammunition Program helps to mitigate the threat lead poisoning to the California Condor. Learn how you can help. https://www.ventanaws.org/ammunition.html
