Sunnybird, thanks for sharing Sasse's Eagle Bath & Beauty video - beautiful images.

Pascale, congrats to both Melle and Elle! Update from Smola webpage; Elle has also fledged, according to LadyHawk
Elle fledges too!! Today at 7:01 PM/ 19:01 Elle spread her wings and took off over the water across the island in a perfect flight! 83 days old. She looked strong and beautiful! Congratulations Elle on your maiden voyage! Both of our eaglets fledge on the same day!!

I read on another site here that Elle has passed. The very Elle that lead us through the life of Spunky on Roberts Bay Nest. I did not know her but she brought me joy on this sight bringing the nest of Canada alive to me. Elle you brought me joy in your writings. May you rest in peace.

I just found this video from the Mississippi River Flyway cam:
A Juvie standing his ground with the sandhill cranes.
He doesn't back off . . . :)
Only 2 minutes.

Anybody watching SUNDAY MORNING on tv today. They have a part on endangered species. The SUNDAY MORNING SHOW began years ago with a part on the Eagle. Yes the eagle is still being talked about in the U.S. And today still being talked about. They went to talk about all the endangered species like the alligator in Louisiana
and the gopher frog. And at this time species are becoming extinct at a faster rate rate than ever. By the way the first CBS SUNDAY MORNING SHOW EVER the eagle they presented was in Maine.

They also talked about larry, moe and curly. A show we all grew up on. The three stooges. And what did they talk about. The famous seltzer water in a glass bottle spray water fight scenes. And the company that to this day still makes the same glass filled seltzer water from the famous new york city water with added CO2. Thus seltzer water. Their company is a century old.

And of course the anniversary of the landing on the moon. And the little boy born in south africa 2 years after the space landing was so enamored by it that today he is the founder of spacex. Yes he is into rockets.

And tonight on 60 MINUTES SHOW to the top of the world with the oldest alliance of man and raptor.
And today is national ice cream day. Go enjoy.

The heat wave is over here. Yes.

Thanks for the news update Eagleslanding.
Yes, I saw CBS Sunday morning. I think they said their very 1st broadcast was about Eagles.
He is right, they take your breath away when you see them fly.

60 Minutes tonite has a segment on a falconer? I think. :chin:

Christian Sasse posted a new video of Spunky

Strong Wind - Red-tailed hawk and three Eagles in an Eagle Nest
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-oZbEOrlvs8

SassePhoto (add 22nd of July 2019)
New amazing scenes from the Sidney nest never shown before - the famous eagle nest with a red-tailed hawklet and three eaglets - all in strong wind, uncut. The parent eagles fly in with food. For your complete eagle enjoyment! Here is the complete story from 2017 https://youtu.be/M0O1Dp2cocQ

But i invite you to read the messages below where i found this awful one

from swamp5050 il y a 3 heures

Thx Christian for the flashback! Are you and David aware of Sammy the handicap Bald Eagle with one wing because he was shot and his wing had to be amputated! He has lived at this New Jersey Refuge for 30 yrs he's (35), until he was kidnapped a couple of nights ago! So some idiot for reasons unknown has Sammy, you can see the story and video with the person leaving with him on YT. Your and David's voice on this awful kidnapping would be greatly appreciated, maybe you could speak to the special needs of an Eagle in Sammy's disability!
