According to the Pritchett page:

WE HAVE A BRANCH! 9:21:27am E12 has branched to the veranda! E12 now holds the record for the youngest eaglet to branch at age 59 days, 22 hours, 1 min 51 sec

Congratulations to E12 !! :bravo:

Most people were betting on E13 to be first, but I could see that "look" in her eyes. Despite the odds, I think she just might be first to fledge too. I just love when they do the unexpected. Keeps us all humble. If Harriet keeps having these Super Babies, pretty soon they might branch right out of the egg :D  ;)

Hello, all you wonderful SW Florida nest fans. I'm thrilled to announce a second egg has made its appearance over at the Trio nest and I read that a first egg has arrived at the Decorah North nest

Great things are happening in the Eagle world these days!

beautiful branching from baby e12 ! what a beautiful youngster she is !
we are all proud of her and young e13 who's doing great at stealing, mantling, biting mom... he's becoming fierce :w00t:
congratulations to mom decorah north and Starr :woohoo:
Pleasant lake AZGFD eagle pair isn't doing as well. after their 2 first eggs being abandoned and eaten by ravens/ring tail weeks ago mom Jill laid another egg yesterday but a ring tail approached the nest and she chased it... unfortunately she then left the egg uncovered under pouring rain/hail and cold weather for a pretty long time.
she's an experienced mom, petit papa the Male isn't experienced, he hardly brings food and brooding :(

that looks bad.

Hi, Rainna - so excited about the eggs at Trio and at Decorah North.

Pascale, so sad to hear about little B13. It seemed like he took a long time to hatch, and perhaps the weather (cold, wet, rainy) was too much for his little body. Photos clearly showed Ma and Pa Berry sad and grieving for their precious eaglet, as do we.

Much better news this evening at the Decorah nest. We wondered if Mom's schedule might be thrown off, but she delivered an egg pretty close to the usual date. Congrats, Mom and new mate DM2. Wonder if there will be the usual 3 eggs this year?

I am not to sure that decorah eagles will miss the blizzard and winds coming through that area. They are right on the edge of the blizzard. It can be done just stay on the egg tonight and tomorrow.
And thanks for the South Bend eagle cam nest eggs info. Notre Dame and St. Mary's are beautiful college campuses. But I will watch that nest also tonight as high winds for that nest tonight and tomorrow. Hold on with your talons mom and dad. I have to say we are having the weirdest weather here in the USA. And not just your typical winter snow days. And kids having sooo many snow days off. That the schools are thinking of forgiving make up days. Is it to much for spring to just get here soon.

Full view of the Decorah,Iowa egg. As mom and dad have left the nest. Probably sensing the nearby blizzard and cooling the egg for a later pip. Oops too early guys slow it down.

It doesn't look too bad at both Decorah nests at the moment. Some snow on the nests, but the nest bowl has been dug out, of course. A bit windy; about 15 degrees. I know more snow is expected. Prayers and warm thoughts for Mom D and Mom North and all the eagles and other wildlife facing extreme weather.
