And :woohoo: DH7 :woohoo: is back, s/he did it yesterday evening and now DH7 is also a fledging eagle
On the video look on the left of the screen and you will see the shadow of DH7 and also the air deplacement of her flight on the leaves
a video from MsO
DH2019, DH7 Returns from Fludge, Now Fledged, 052219
Parent flew in with a fish, with DH7 following right behind. Since we saw 7 fly, also counts as a fledge today.

This morning, all three, DH7 is the left one, waiting for their breakfast

Wonderful news to hear that DH7 is back home. Glad she was able to fly back to the nest. Keeping my fingers crossed that those owls might start to behave themselves.

Sue made a second video and during the 5 hits, i was able to verify that at least 2 owl were attacking
After the fist hit the fist owl branched in the center of this pic
2019-05-24_09h56_08.jpg
and before the second attack i found another owl branched in the center of this pic
2019-05-24_09h57_22.jpg
and it isn't this one which hit the second Eaglet , but it did the third attack
So a concerted attack !

Last news from Dale Hollow
Yesterday 25 of May (07h01 am) DH7 felt off when she tried to jump over DH6 from the left branch to join the nest… later she was seen flying under the nest and over the trees behind it and far too :woohoo:

MsO made 3 videos

1/ DH2019 DH7 Falling Off Limb, 052519 Two eaglets branching. One tried to jump over the other and ended up falling.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=URD1t_xiiy4

2/ DH2019 Eaglet Falls Off Branch, 052519 DH7 tried to hop over DH6 and ended up falling. At least she can fly. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CXvuxg9DdLY

3/ DH2019 DH7 Flew By and Kept Going 052519 (Revised) DH7 fell off the tree about 3 hours ago. Just flew by (watch left bottom corner) and kept going (see top left corner) to where parents hang out

Thank you very much MsO !

Happy Memorial Day weekend. Lots of grills firing up this weekend for barbeques and families gathering around. I have 2 in my family one will be entering the airforce and another signed up for another 4 years in the army.

I see Decorah nest in for some heavy flooding rains next rew days. Hail, winds.
They are so close to the swollen shut down Mississippi river.

And so many people planting gardens and putting out lovely flowers.

Memorial Day a times for memories

Phil, Dad North was spotted today 5/26 as reported in the Comments section of the livecam webpage at:
https://explore.org/livecams/bald-eagle ... north-nest

DN9 is doing so well with mantling his/her food and self-feedings.
