Yesterday evening, the spirit of the little male bald eagle "Peace" flew before 10 p.m. He was almost E14 age.
specialists agreed to say that all was well for him however.

So strange to see that whatever the nest the same unfortunate story is repeated over and over again.

*sorry Philjo I didn't see your post

Peace from Captiva passed away during the night or this morning :cry1: When I posted yesterday I truly hoped something could be done quickly.

Once again, nearly one year after e14, my hopes were wiped off.

Poor little one. At least you were there with your mom and your older sibling. :cry1:

At big bear Jackie laid her 3rd egg yesterday afternoon... She had a very very painful labor and finally the 3rd egg was laid and was broken 💔
Poor Mom !

There's egg#2. we hope he's still growing after much time being uncovered

Ozzie always takes care of all the eaglets raised in his nest, what he does every day with E3, E5 and E14.

Yesterday we were told of the death of little Peace on the night of January 13th to 14th. Like last year for E14, previously I had read the same sentence: "We'll see tomorrow." These two eaglets didn't have enough time to see the sunrise ... Bad stories repeat themselves over and over again.

Captiva/Sanibel Island FL
:luck: Hope :luck:

:ty: Lady Hawk for the :vid:

I have been noticing these leg tremors in Hope for the past few days but tonight they went on for several minutes long. Hope kept trying to stretch out the leg but it would start trembling again. I don't know if this is anything of concern or not, but I have sent this video to a friend of mine at CROW for her to review. With the death of Peace last week of unknown causes and seeing leg trembling in Hope, I wonder if it may be some sort of neurological illness or disease. I hope this turns out to be nothing serious for our sweet Hope. Thank you for watching!

Video captured & edited by Lady Hawk

The nest is located in Captiva/Sanibel Island FL. The eagles are Connie and Joe. Connie laid her eggs on Nov 4th & 8th 2020. Both eaglets hatched on Dec 14th 2020 (2:31 AM & 08:24 AM). The eaglets were named Hope & Peace. Peace passed away on the evening of January 13th 2021 of unknown causes.

Hope is still doing well even if he's showinh tremors. he's eating, exercising, looks great but... trembling.
I guess AEF is still observing as Lady Hawk contacted someone at CROW to get their advice. Hopefully Dad/Joe flew away with little Peace remains.

look how big I am
on the bright side, the albatross are back and the livecam royal pair, LGL/LGK will be parents soon. the rangers noticed a pip, and to avoid a flies strike, took the egg, placed it in an incubator. LGK broods now a dummy egg. once the chick hatches- it can take 6 days - he will be reunited with his parents. :hatch: :rh:

Wow another loss today :cry1:
I’m following a nest that is built in a tower in Texas.
The baby hatched on Thursday evening. Yesterday he looked fine with great lungs. When mom got up to feed him this morning no sign of fluffy head nor sound, no feeding (the bowl is very deep). 2 hours later, mom flew off with him.

He was the only baby (one egg was laid)

Always in Texas a few days ago. The Webster nest. 2 chicks passed away for unknown reason. Sundance and Belle Star.
:cryhanky:

Now we’re waiting for Harriet and M15 babies to hatch. They both pipped within hours.

E17 the dryest is the right one (Harriet's left talon) and E18 the wettest is close to harriet's right talon.
