Mary----Are not you following the Notre Dame eagle family in South Bend Indiana? At the Notre Dame college football game 2 rogue eagles crashed the game flying around the stadium. I believe one may have landed on on some one briefly in the stands. I heard it on our local fox news this morning and no I do not live in South Bend. But I have been to Notre Dame college. They showed the eagles rushing the game on tv, neat. Wonder if it was the same eagle or different ones. Mary are those eagles from your nest.

Nestfriend, I always enjoy your creative work with photos.
I took your "looking for me" E9 photo and had a pillow made of it!
I hope I didn't commit a felony to do this :D
FYI: Wskrsnwings credit is at the bottom seam of pillow! :)

Actually the eagle that went rogue is Clark. He was supposed to circle the indoor stadium during or after national anthem. He was born in 2003 at the World Bird Sanctuary in St. Louis, Missouri. He must have got confused at the game and instead of landing on his handler he decided to join the fans and land on them.

Phil, looks like you did great research. Those pictures are adorable and tell the story of E9 perfectly...thanks

Pascale, such a precious little eaglet in that video, tall enough to make us all smile and steal our hearts forever.

Hello eagle friends! Happy New Year! And what a wonderful year at the nest for Harriet and M15 2018 was! The successful fledges of EEs 10 and 11, and the successful hatches of our new EEs 12 and 13. We have been truly blessed. :)

Thank you all for the awesome scaps, artwork, info and tributes. Was under the weather but reading and enjoying your posts daily.
We (you, me, Harriet and M) really do have the most adorable, loveable bobbleheads!

Moniegal, I'm honored to be re-posted! I'm so glad that you and other eagle lovers felt what's in my heart too. And I'm happy that the poems make you smile! (with those eagle lips!) (I swear you guys, if you look you can see them!)

Nestfriend, I remember that Barry Manilow song but forgot most of the words! Thank you for posting that beautiful E9 tribute.

Pascale. I was just going through posts, found your link to E9's 'Winging in the Rain'. You know, I never could watch that whole video, would start crying. This time, I watched it to the end. And I cried. Happy tears this time. But I still miss him so much! Is that silly? We love a bird we never touched, but boy, has he touched us! Right in our hearts, the little sneaker. And omg, I love, love those pantaloon legs! :rh:

Happy Birthday, dear E9.
Love you.

K, you guys, I have a couple more posts, gotta catch up!

I found E9 after he hatched, on New Year's Day 2017. But I didn't learn how to scap on this tablet until April 29, when I took these.

First. Scap. Ever.

And now I'd like to share this tribute to E9 that I posted on June 18, 2017.

Sing out loud to ''The Brady Bunch'' theme song:

Here's the story
Of a pair of eagles
A loving couple, Harriet and M
Devoted parents they became to E9
Raised him with pride and courage to be just like them.

Here's the story
Of the caring people
And of the love for eagles they would share
They learned, they laughed, they cried as E9 grew up
To them no other eagle ever would compare.

Till the day E9 was called to leave this family
Of eagles and the people that he touched
We now soar high on wings as one together,
That's the way we all became The E9 Bunch!

The E9 Bunch,
We love him much!
That's the way we all became The E9 Bunch!
