Popping In (or is that Out?) to wish you a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DIANE

IMG_9364.JPG
This guy reconfigured the small hole and made it square all in about 10 minutes. Then proceeded to throw out whatever nesting material was in there and there was a lot! Also, checked out 2 other boxes the same morning. Apparently, they weren't up to his liking for the Mrs. (who was nearby) as they didn't nest.

Diane, enjoy you're day! Pats for the furkids - Dennis too!

Pat, very cute cat pictures! Hello to the rest of Hollow - everything is OK here in the South, except HOT! Summer in Florida - as long as the hurricanes stay away I'm not complaining.

:grhug: Hugs to you all...………..Cherie

Carolyn and Cherie, your not alone in the heat. We are having a heat wave here in VA, 90+F days for a week or more starting today. Unusual at this time of year for us. But I can remember complaining about the deep cold weather over the winter, so I guess I shouldn't complain now. :fonz:

Our first trip to Nova Scotia it was incredibly hot the entire time....The second one was lovely (mostly Cabot Trail)...and the last one in between. I loved the cool mornings and evenings.

My daughter and her family are in New Mexico now and it was over 100 in Calsbad, now on to the mountains where it'll be 72 and excited about that. Then to Denver which apparently is hot unusually too.

Hello Ladies...
THANK YOU so much for the Birthday wishes. It means a lot. So sorry I have not been here. Life has just been busy. It's been almost 9 months since my knee replacement. I am moving forward and doing pretty good. I am glad I had it done but it has been a long process. Dennis is doing well from his 2 Stents in the same Artery. He felt much better right after he woke up. Ranger and Shelby are great. They love each other so much.
It has been very hot and humid. We are under an Extreme Heat Advisory. I have to remember not long ago we complained about the cold so I better not complain about the heat now!
Once again Thank You! Love and Hugs... Diane

Although I've never had a pet at my place, I've been with some of the pets that my friends have. They are simply adorable. It simply feels like you have some god's gift by your side just to make you feel calm and relaxed. Currently, my friend is having a rabbit and its so cute. Have a look. <3

Welcome Rachel....That is an adorable Bunny.

Funny story...Yesterday I was throwing for Bleu and Andi in the pool (after my swim, they know to wait)....There were two toys but Bleu took hers over to the grass (game over when she does that). So I had one, Bleu ran over to the rockwall and climbed on it (Imagine an older golden retriever climbing?), Andi was on the proper side. I threw it to the middle not expecting what happened....both leaped at the same time, both caught it, and by the steps Andi had it....you go Andi!
It was a hoot.

Hi everyone!

Thanks for dropping a note, carolyn, and waking things up here a bit.

What a sweetie, Bev - thanks for sharing the picture here.

And great to see you and your friend, Pat - and to see that you are feeling better!

Miserable weather here in Maine - can't decide if it's going to rain or snow, so goes back and forth. The only good thing about that is that we're getting some chores done around the house. I'm not sure our cat Chelsea Girl was happy about that - she came out and not only was her food dish not in the usual spot - even the place mat it sits on was missing! :w00t: We tried to explain that it was temporary while Charlie washed the floor - but I'm not sure she believed it until the newly washed place mat reappeared in its usual corner, followed by a bowl of food.

Thanks Judy and you are welcome... and I was the first family member to hold the baby after he was born :) ... Agnes and the boys and I went to hospital in the evening to see him, Mike and Lisa ( Tim was away ) ..they live in Dartmouth close to my brother and the baby was born at the Childrens Hospital here in Halifax.. He was 8# 2oz...... :rh:

Love hearing above Chelsea Girl.... they are creatures of habit .... :D

And while I am here .

Goodnight everyone ! :grhug:

It looks like I started something super good....yeah, that is a lovely feeling. Andi and I had a tremendous visit at the nursing home on Sunday with much jubilation on her arrival. I will tell you the most "heartwarming story". There is a man who sits in his wheelchair usually in the lobby and had never spoken even once to me. This went on for months. About a month ago, he reached down and petted Andi (he had touched her previously but silently) and said "Such a sweet doggie"...thank you for coming. I almost fell over! Since them he always talks to me with a huge grin on his face. He does not want puppy kisses, which she loves giving, but has learned to refrain when I say no, but just wants to touch her soft fur. i feel like the universe is smiling on us at moments like this.

Some of you know this, our son, who is a teacher and will continue to be so and has 8 children, was just ordained Russian Orhodox Priest, for his parish in Texas. He joins his FIL as priest. It was a huge decision, and a scary one. Yes, he continues to teach, it's his paying job, and take care of his family, but now to say he will be "busy" is an understatement.

I loved hearing about the kitty...mine go nutso when things are moved, especially the almost blind one, Eddy, she calles for Pebbles to bring her back to where she knows she is. The good thing is that since she can not see well any longer she is less likely to hide from all the kids (12 grandchildren, one an infant). My oldest granddaughter is now 15, unreal, the one with whom I share a birthday. Life certainly has its twists and turns.

Our weather has been up to 80 and down to high 20's, never know from one day to the next, makes it sort of interesting. Bev, the baby is precious. What a family blessing.....Judy, having you post here is truly special., Bev you made my day and Pat, you know that outfit is a hoot!
love to all, your kind words mean so much......
