 Good Tuesday afternoon!
Today's feature will be the Eastern Kingbird (Tyrannus tyrannus),
which is one of my favorite birds to see. I love their sound.
I have yet to catch a picture with their red/orange crown showing.
I guess because I don't make them angry.

*****Trivia question: How old was E23 when he/she stayed alone
the first night in the nest?

Nights are the worst to be alone...... but loneliness is a human emotion.
Do you think birds get lonely?
I found this:
Yes, some birds can get lonely, especially when they are in captivity.
Birds are social creatures that are hardwired to be connected to a flock, family, or partner.
In the wild, they get mental stimulation and enrichment through social interaction
and foraging for food. In captivity, they may suffer from loneliness, stress, and boredom.

Good Tuesday afternoon. I'm not sure, think E23 was about 38 days old when spent first night alone.

Here's another trivia question. What date did E23 branch?

Love your E23 Milestone photos---what a tremendous Eagle. :rh:

My contribution to the bird world is to keep 3 saucers on the patio re=filled with water.
I've watched as many as 4 bluebird juveniles stop to take "birdy baths"

It is triple digits here today :w00t:
Suppose to get cooler tomorrow.

 Good Wednesday morning from a storm ravaged NE Ohio.
It may not have been a hurricane but the storm fury was real and now
it is meeting Tropical Storm Debbie on the east coast. We have lots of wind damage,
trees down in roads and on houses. Many without electricity still this morning.
We are good here and lovinnature up in that state up north is good.
Carol and Peggy check in when you can.

Good Thursday morning. Hurricane Debby has passed over Hilton Head South Carolina and the sun is shinning, kayakers out enjoying the morning. Pumps worked hard to keep flooding to minimum except in a few low lying areas. :D
