Hello everyone

It's Grand Prix weekend here in Detroit. 🏎 IndyCar series. Zoom, Zoom.
Open wheel racing in Detroit dates back to the 1920s–1950's.
The Detroit grand Prix race dates back to 1982 when it was a Formula One World Championship event held on the streets of Detroit.
The circuit encompassed the Renaissance Center, located on Jefferson Avenue. The RenCen rises 73 stories above the Detroit River's waterfront.
The original circuit was 2.493 miles (4.012 km) with seventeen corners and proved to be even slower than Monaco.
In 1992, the race moved from downtown Detroit to Belle Isle. A island park situated in the Detroit River. Where it was the longest serving venue for the race. (31 years)
It's been 32 years and now, and this year they have moved the race back to the streets of Detroit. Jefferson Ave. is turned into the longest straight way course, then any other city. So much more exciting. All the twist and turns, hearing the sounds of the cars engines varoom between the tall building. It's going to be a electrifying weekend for sure.
