Hi Suemac. Oh, that chocolate peanut brittle looks good. Never seen it with chocolate but Chocolate seems like obvious thing to put on peanut brittle.
I like your Eagle/Crow video. Only thing was I was thinking that the crow might be misunderstood--maybe the eagle and crow were friends and the crow was just holding on to the eagle's feathers to get a ride to where ever they were going instead of biting the eagle like the video said.

Lovinnature, Suemac, Peggy, Sunnybird and many others ---we are are so lucky to not live at the MRFW camera site. It's hard to believe that not long ago that place was teeming with life, including many bald eagles.

Lazy Parrot- thanks for your input on maybe the crow was a friend of the eagle.
Can eagles and crows be friends? Absolutely! Not usually the norm, but we have seen
many things occur in nature that are amazing. Here is something I found:

Today is International Holocaust Remembrance Day.
It falls annually on January 27 to remember the deaths of the six million Jews
committed by the Nazi regime and their allies during the Second World War.

It is also National Chocolate Cake Day! Help yourself!

Good morning all ! Happy cold & snowy Saturday . :snow:

 Peggy those EEs are growing like weeds ! Before we know it, they will be gone on their way.
and I/we will all be crying because we miss them so much. But until then, we still have a lot of fun to see.
Thank you zoomie/s ! and the Pritchett family, for all they do.

Today is...
National Kazoo Day.
Warren H. Frost first submitted his U.S. patent application for a musical toy instrument.
The U.S. Patent Office granted Frost’s application with patent no. 270,543 in January, 1883.
(Peggy I bet Joshua can play the Kazoo. He make sounds so he can play one).

It is also ...
National Blueberry Pancake Day ! 😋

Lovinnature I think I can remember making a kazoo with a comb and wax paper? Does that sound too crazy?
Best wishes,

Peggy :)

 Good afternoon everyone!
Yes Peggy we used to make kazoos with wax paper and combs.... so fun! We
tried to mimic Mom and Dad who played harmonicas.
My kids all learned how to play kazoos in 4th grade, before playing actual band
instruments. Ended up with two playing the euphonium and slide trombones
and the other two with trumpets and french horn. Two also played piano and my
second born is a music teacher and can play almost every instrument.
I am also proud to say that I was a "band MOM" for 20 years, not only for my kids,
but to around 200 high school children every year. They all called me Mama Mac and
still do to this day when I see them. Music is so important.
And to think it all started with a kazoo..... :D
****Maybe Joshua will play the tuba or the sousaphone when he is older, since he likes elephants.. :D

lovinnature- now guess what hubby and I had for breakfast? Yep- blueberry pancakes!
And I didn't even know it was National Blueberry Pancake Day.
And Reese got some too, because they are her most favorite treat.
Blueberries are very good for canine health as well as for us humans.

Lazy Parrot- I do think they are growing quicker this season.
We sure didn't see this much food last season, not that they didn't have enough,
but I remember waiting for food to come in for the babies to get fed.
But maybe my memory fails me. They are offspring of Harriet and M15 and
they seem to excel every season at everything.
