.The adult stars of this cam are two beautiful bald eagles Liberty is the female and Freedom is the male.

Liberty is believed to be 24. Freedom is her second mate and is believed to be around 11.

Past eaglets include:

2023 Hope (GG9)
2022 Love (GG7) and Peace (GG8)
2021 Kindness (GG6)
2019 Chaak (GG4) and Anaaski (GG5)
2018 Equality (GG2) and Pride (GG3)
2017 Justice (GG1)

This nest area has been active since 2004--- this specific nest we learned about in 2022.

Glacier Gardens and the bald eagle nest are located in Juneau, in southeast Alaska. This unique botanical garden is located within the Tongass National Forest.

The camera is over some distance from the nest, in a different tree and shows the eagles in real time 24/7.

We avoid performing physical maintenance on the cam during the season, so that we do not add stress for the eagles.

The cam is live at Glacier Gardens and we are able to watch Liberty and Freedom as they prepare their nest for eggs. This is the second season we have seen the cam up this early and it's so exciting!

GG1 Justice- Hatched 6/1/17. Branched 8/9/17, 69 days. Fledged 8/26/17, 86 days. Last Seen 9/4/17, 95 days.

2018
GG2 Equality- Hatched 5/26/18. Branched 8/12/18, 78 days. Fledged 8/17/18, 83 days. Last Seen 9/5/18, 102 days.
GG3 Pride- Hatched 5/27/18. Branched 8/13/18, 78 days. Fledged 8/20/18, 85 days. Last Seen 9/5/18, 101 days.

2019
GG4 Ch'áak'- Hatched 6/7/19. Branched 9/2/19, 87 days. Fledged 9/10/19, 95 days. Last Seen 9/24/19, 109 days.
GG5 Anáaski- Hatched 6/9/19. Branched 9/6/19, 89 days. Fledged 9/15/19, 98 days. Last Seen 9/23/19, 106 days.
