Cam 1 - E23 dropping to the nest

2011-2023 E23 to nest after avoiding the owl last night (see Lady Hawk's video above).

2043-2045 E23's tail feathers

2233 E23 awake

2234-2235 E23 to veranda

2348 Windy - E23 out on distal veranda winging and dancing in wind,
then drops to nest out of cam 1 view.

0018 The rains begin and remains windy

0408-0507 E23 back to veranda and tucks head.

0702-0703 E23 goes to the attic

[Suemac]

0709 E23 flew to FDS, then flew west at 0715
0734-0742 Cam op pans and finds E23 on ground by FDS playing
with objects in talons, then goes under fence to the driveway.

0745 E23 walks down the driveway

0750 E23 on broken fence rail. A truck is leaving from the office and stops by E23.
E23 flies off into the pasture toward the pond.

0824 F23 to nest with a stick. A squeeing E23 follows to the nest.

0825 F23 on veranda while E23 remains vocal in nest.

0827 E23 recovers from his disappointment and also to the veranda.

0831 F23 flies south across the street.

0844 E23 flies south across the street and flying among the houses out of cam view.

0916 E23 flies back to nest tree from across the street.

0921 E23 squeeing takes flight going into the pasture

0921 Adult flies from east to the ground with food in talon.

0921-0922 E23 circles and to the ground to claim what looks like
a cottontail rabbit.

0924 Adult to DSPS leaving E23 with prey.

0924 E23 takes flight with the prey in talons and goes east by east side of pond and out of view.

0934 E23 squeeing brings the rabbit to the outer attic arch.
What a feat for such a young fledgling!

0939 Adult to upper perch
0936-0951 E23 now trying to figure out how to eat.
