1023 F23 flies east

1157 SQUEE! SQUEE! SQUEE! E23 drops from the sky and flies to the nest.

1159 No cam op. E23 makes way to lower branch then up to U-Branch.

1215 E23 flies off U-branch and goes toward pond.

1215 E23 turns east and puts landing gear down in a silent approach.
Looks like E23 lands on east side of pond out of cam view.

Pond ripples noticed. Maybe E23 flushed a duck or water bird?
Maybe E23 tried a fish attempt? Heard no vocals.

1637 E23 flies from the east with a smaller bird following.

1637 E23 lands at the pond as a large bird flies out of a tree near the drive and turns west.

1644 E23 quietly stands in pond and looks around

1649 E23 grabs a drink and continues to just stand in pond. No exploring or pond play.

1656 E23 flies east.

1918 E23 flies west across the pond and swoops a pair of ducks

1918 E23 circles back and lands on pond shore near V-tree.

1921-1925 E23 on pond shore.

1931-1932 E23 leaves pond and flies to nest,
then to veranda as the shrikes begin to dive bomb

1932-1934 E23 to attic, then to upper attic branches.

A cattle egret on the "beach"

It was a fun day at the pasture pond! The HERD stroll by the pond and cattle egret are also at the pond. Two horses are seen swimming and the egret are on the grass around the other two horses! As the cam op pans the cove, we see an anhinga perched on the overhang branch. E23 comes flying in and the egrets scatter as E lands at the waters edge. E23 will soak its feet, pick up sticks and run along the pond edge. E23 hops up to the cinder blocks and perches checking out the pond. E23 will fly off and the cam op finds in the church tree hanging out. At the end of the day, E23 returns to the nest tree to roost for the evening. I love watching the pasture pond cam - there is so much beauty here! Thank you for watching!
