Raining all day at the nest; Gabby was a no show. Beau stopped by a couple of times for a quick visit. Sounds like thunder and rain now.

TUESDAY TUCK-IN: I was at the nest and Beau was perched high (pic posted above) and soon took off. After I left he and Gabby both returned. I believe I saw her earlier perched on one of their usual perching spots not far from the ocean about 5pm. I bet he went and got her, because they both returned and are both roosting at home tonight. Sure made chat extra special ❤️ . SED to our blessed Hamlets and to all

It's been a while since I reported here. Gabby and Beau have both been in the nest tree during the day, even spending the night perched at times. They have moved on since their egg did not hatch, doing regular eagle things.

TUESDAY TUCK-IN: Well it looks like the chatters did the tucking tonight! When I was waiting at the nest, Beau arrived . I left before Gabby showed up. But she didn't disappoint.....they were both present (not necessarily awake) during chat 💤 💤 . Gabby is sporting one honkin' crop (cam 2) 😆 . It looks like they will stay put at home for the night. SED to our Hamlets and to all! 🤗 🥰 P.S. I did see them perched off-site a few times today. 👀(edited)

Read this this morning in chat from one of the mods:
Sharipf_AEF
We definitely are seeing a lot more of Beau and Gabby together at the nest now that they have stopped incubating - what that means - only they know. But they do seem to be doing a lot more nest work than just the typical "end of season tidy up".

TUESDAY TUCK-IN: Well our chatters, mods, and I were stood up tonight by Gabby and Beau 🤨 and I couldn't find them in the area 🤓 . I do believe I saw Gabby off-site this afternoon where they often perch. However, we did have a couple of surprise visitors at the nest this afternoon.....a male Osprey (Bogey?) and a snake! Our chatter "Lady" made mention in chat about the snake. Our Moderator sharipf_AEF did some research and determined it was a yellow rat snake which is a good snake vs a venomous snake. That's about all the action today, folks! ☺️ It was very quiet in the Hamlet today and little to no winds. SED to everyone and stay tuned, you never know when we get an arrival!
