I'm off to a slow start posting today; camping will do that

very windy; Mom on the nest brooding, incubating

egg # 2 is at 37 days

Dad in with a squirrel maybe ( or is this the one from yesterday ; he opens it and starts eating a few bites

Mom aerates the bole and wakes up B17; Dad feeds Mom squirrel bites and she in turn feeds B17 squirrel for breakfast
Mom then goes to the old buried nestover and pulls pieces from it to feed B17

Dad makes his way to the bole to brood but Mom not sure about that; Mom flies to LYB but comes right back and doesn't want Dad to brood, pushing him off

up to aerate, trows nest material on fish head , down to brood/incubate; tucks grasses around; lifts slightly to change position again

Dad in from RB; 'Mom up to try and move the fish; it's almost in the bole now...well, she does like her food close by

Mom drags the fish across the bole; B17 has a fish pillow

Wind gust catches Mom's tail feathers and almost pushes her over; she immediately covers B17

Dad up; possible pip (chat also called it); only problem is that it appears to be on the small end of the egg; pips appear on the big end because that's where the air sac is. It's not impossible to have a hatch if the chick has pierced the outer shell (pip) so it is breathing air; just much more difficult. We'll just have to wait and see .

Dad moves to the fish and eats, Mom goes to the bole preparing to brood, incubate
