Bensweather.com Forecast Updated: Tuesday, Mar 21 @ 06:49pm
An impressive 992mb low with a hurricane like (extra-tropical) structure is now moving inland to our north with an abundance of moisture and instability rounding the bottom of this system and into Southern California bringing showers and embedded thunderstorms to the region. Expect these occasional disturbances to pass through our area tonight into Wednesday bringing snow showers, heavy at times in near white-out conditions, travel's not recommended! The snow level will fall to around 4,000 feet tonight with lows in the 20's. Cold and windy Wednesday with snow showers continuing, some heavy with highs in the upper 20's to lower 30's. Additional accumulations of 1-2 feet are possible through Wednesday with isolated higher amounts in a few locations. We'll also experience west to southwest winds 15-30 mph with gusts near 45 mph. Snow showers will taper off late Wednesday as this storm exits the region with clearing skies on tap for Thursday. We'll remain cold and breezy through the end of the week and into the weekend as daytime temperatures only reach the 30's to lower 40's, 10 degrees below average, while overnight lows drop into the teens and 20's. Long-range forecast models continue to advertise below-normal temperatures and above-normal precipitation into early April. So, while the calendar now reads spring, it looks like winter's not over yet.

Goodnight everybody!
Bonjour Philippe, looks like there is nothing much to watch tonight except for the weather. So let's see how much more snow is going to be in the nest by the morning. Thanks goodness they didn't have chicks so far! And no eggs so far, so they can rest somewhere hiding from the wind and from the snow. Have a good night sweet Jackie and Shadow! :rh:

Bensweather.com Forecast Updated: Wednesday, Mar 22
An unseasonably cold and strong spring storm will roll inland to our north today with bands of moisture and instability rotating through the area.
