.. I thought E22 was being feisty yesterday--take a look at that bird in this other video from yesterday March 24th by Lady Hawk!
M15 is on the U branch and decides to jump down to the nest -- scaps are from the video
Once in the nest E22 chases Dad while squeeing loudly
SWFL Eagles ~ 3 Times The Charm Or NOT! M15 Tries To Clean Up Nest But E22 Chases Him Off! 3.24.23
Dad thinks it's safer up on the spike
M tries going to the nest again
Back to the spike-- looks down trying to figure what the heck 22 is doing
On M15's third try to be on the nest E22 chases him across the nest and pushes him right off!!

M15 is on the U branch as the day comes to a close and he decides to drop to the nest to do clean up of the nestovers or perhaps even feed some to the E's but that was not happening! E22 starts the squeeing as M15 makes his first attempt into the nest but quickly hopped to the spike as E22 rushed over. No food delivery for the evening shift kept the E's squeeing and mad. The look on M15's face is priceless as he looks down at the E's on the nest!! E22 is having a hissy fit squeeing away.
M15 drops for a second time for a second and decides he better go back up to the spike!! E22 continues to have a hissy fit but M15 will try one more time and flies down to the opposite side of the nest. E22 rushes over and chases him off the nest! Yikes! M15 decides he better head back up to the outer attic and let the kids have their space tonight!
At eleven weeks old, the E's are teenagers - wanting food from their parent but also exerting their independence and wanting their own space. We see a lot of this behavior once the E's branch up to the attic and also when they fledge, they will chase after a parent demanding food and when they don't get it they have a hissy fit! One of the funniest hissy fits was E7 carrying on back in 2016.

.. M15 provided really well for his eaglets today with a wealth of fish and no steals that we are aware of. Some of the fish were stolen back and forth but both eaglets were well fed!
Fish #1 for the day is delivered -- scaps are from the video.

Who has this one? I'm not sure but I did see 22 eating it later
From Lady Hawk -- Mar 26, 2023 #FLORIDA #baldeagles #eagle
It was a great day of feasting for the E's with M15 bringing in 6 fish today and both E's eating well all day long! The female intruder followed M15 back to the nest tree on the first and third deliveries but did not try to steal the food - she flew off after him and left the E's to eat on the nest. I included all six of the food deliveries and highlights today.
Fish #1 : E21 gets the fish and eats the whole fish with E22 getting a few scraps. The intruder perched in the treetop but leaves after M15 departs.
Fish #2: E22 mantles the fish but E21 steals and eats the whole fish. E22 suns itself on the nest.
Fish #3: The intruder followed M15 back to the nest tree and lands on the attic. M will join her on the attic, then fly to the pond. The intruder departs. E22 claims the whole ACF and eats. A half hour later, E21 gets the fish and eats.
Fish#4 M15 brings another whole fish in and E22 mantles and claims it and eats the whole fish - E21 looks for scraps.
Fish #5 : E22 claims the fish and warns E21 away a couple of times! E22 eating most of the fish.
Fish #6: M arrives with fish #6 while E22 was still eating fish #5. E22 gets fish #6 and E21 takes over the older fish so both are eating. E21 steals a couple of pieces away from E22. E22 swallows the tail - has a bit of a hard time getting it down but gets it down!! Full crops on both E's! Job well done Dad! M15 is roosting away from the nest again tonight & the E's are sleeping peacefully. Thank you for watching!

Good morning everyone.
Here is my cam video for yesterday, 3-25-23.
Link: https://youtu.be/jFEDxtb5JnA
"SWFEC 3-25-23. M15's first three deliveries (of 6); There Should Have Been Seven Deliveries. "
Video coverage of the first three deliveries of the day. The intruder followed M15 in on the first and third deliveries, perching in the nest tree but not going onto the nest. E21 claims and eats the first two deliveries, and E22 cleans up leftovers, being the smart eaglet they are. E22 claims the third delivery, an armored catfish head, and E21 will finish off the leftovers on that. Time stamps below, if interested. Click on any time stamp to advance to that part.
There were six deliveries made by M15 today; there should have been seven. The intruder once again stole a delivery meant for the E's, link here: https://youtu.be/F-VKCQnYlX4
From the SWFEC website banner:
8:15p A foggy start to a windy day closes. E21 and E22 ate 6 fish dropped by M. Big winging and high hopping today. E21 is in the nest, E22 on the rails. M not in view. Sleep well Eagles. Keep them safe Mom and Great Spirit.

Link: https://youtu.be/F-VKCQnYlX4
"SWFL Eagle Cam 3-25-23. Intruder Chases M15; Intruder Again Steals a Delivery Meant for the E's."
M15 comes into view from the left (N/NE) with the intruder chasing him for food. They circle the nest tree as the intruder tries to take the food. As they approach the pond and pass the "P" in the Pritchett logo, it appears the intruder rolls and tries to take the food/fish from M15. The fish drops to the ground below, and the intruder follows the food down. M15 lands in the grass . The intruder then leaves cam view to the right. M15 will leave in the same direction. The chase is first played in normal time with slo-mo segments, then play in full normal time. The E's watch and react to what they see on the Cam1 view. (This appeared to be a fish that M15 had stolen from him, based on size/color. It may have been a different food item.) Time stamps provided, if interested. Click on any time stamp to advance to that part.

Link: https://youtu.be/fG_y3TG8K5Q
"SWFL Eagle Cam 3-25-23. E21 Conquers the Swinging Branch! First E Ever on the Swinging Branch!"
E21 conquers a new branch today, 3-25-23. Video starts with E21 wing flapping on the spike and porch branches. E21 is on the nest, rouses, and hop/flaps out to the swinging branch! After executing a perfect 180 while wing flapping, E21 returns to the nest (33 +/-) seconds later, and heads to the spike. Congratulations, E21! You are the first E ever to go to the swinging branch. The E's will hopefully continue exploring the nest tree branches prior to fledging. Time stamps below, if interested. Click on any time stamp to advance to that part.
The swinging branch is the outer attic branch that broke during Hurricane Ian, and is now hanging downward. The end of the branch swings. E21 is the first E ever to go there, as this is the first season it has been there. If there is an offical name given to the end of the broken outer attic branch, I am not aware of it

0929. E21 eyes the swinging branch. 0929. E21 with a big hop and wing flapping... 0929. ...and a solid landing on the swinging branch.

Re: SW Florida Eagle Cam 2022~2023
M15 brought a large catfish that had been eaten on somewhat---still plenty of meat though. E22 claimed and ate for a little while while E21 pushed and ate a little. E22 was able to get some nice bites right away because it was on the partially opened end of the fish. E21 is not so good at unzipping, so it only got small bites at first. Then E21 managed to intimidate E22 and took possession.

Journi,
Forgive my post here but PM is not working. I am thinking dates of post matter in record retention.
I tried to go to Mar 2 to read about events and found dates are all wrong. What is now page 295 has a date of February 10 yet discussions are after Harriet was gone.
I am guessing this happened when they changed number of posts per page.
