:tea: Good morning. E21 got breakfast and ate in record time. There was an intruder on the tree top, which may have caused E21 to eat so fast. Nothing left for E22. :(

M15 makes two more food deliveries. Could not identify the first but the second looked like catfish head. E22 claimed the first of these but E21 stole and ate it all. Then the catfish head was claimed by E22 and it was able to eat. :)

Good morning peeps.
After a non-eventful night the EEs are very active in the nest on this foggy morning.
Since just after 4 am. E22 has been vocal, vocal, vocal. :%: Sat on the rail early this morning, looking out into the fog, and vocal.
On and off, like a fog horn in the night. And when daylight came, you guessed it, still vocal.
Watching the pasture. E22 has some pretty colored dewy feathers this morning.
@ 7:15 am. However E21, decided to practicing this morning. They have what's left of the catfish head in beak, no wait talon, no wait beak for a nibble. Now is flapping with catfish head in talon. E21 is doing some tremendous sideways, flap hopping.
Left to right, right to left. Back and forth and then, right up the the spike. Ran out of nest room. E21 is now doing some crafty moves on the spike. Don't forget E is still got the fish head. Transferring it to foot. Then beak. Then swinging it in the air. Foot, beak, ect... This is the first time I remember seeing a non-fledging eaglet, do this on a branch (the spike). Then E21 moves to tip of the spike and can we can not see what is going on. (No Zoomies available at this time). E21 will play on the spike for over 5 minutes. Then do a sideways hop to nest, empty talons and beak. Must have dropped the catfish head. E22, very observant, does the sideway head move, checking out what E21 has been doing.
Once E21 gets wound up, and going ! It's hard to stop ! :D But E22 is there for a road block.
This may be how the recent kerfuffle and almost overboard happened between E21/E2. ??

@ 7:25 am. E21 doing more sideways eaglet shuffle. This time they do a side hop out to the porch. Flapping away.
Each wing flap, from the porch, is smacking E22 on the head. Who ducks.

@ 7:26 am. M comes flying in from the north. Around the front side of tree and lands out by the U branch. Every birdy is vocal.
Good morning M. I hope you had a owl free night.

BBL :bye 1:
The EEs are very VOCAL at dad. But he arrive with empty talons. They will continue to be so loud and vocal,
It's time for me to turn down my volume. E21 will finally give up. E22... not yet. The just both just watch.
E22 on the rails E21 on the spike.

@ 7:45 am. The fog is starting to lift. The EEs are very vocal. They can see dad better now. :D
I can see all the photographers setting up on the sidewalk. :(

@ 7:52 M leaves the nest tree. He heads off to the east. Be safe M. Don't let them formels intimidate you ! You are Mr. M !
EEs are still vocal.

:) Life going on at the nest, even with human observers. Eaglets more interested in eating and wing flapping.
Here comes M15 with another fish. This time a whole catfish (not ACF)---the good eating kind. E22 claims and E21 challenges by going under its tail. E22's tail got caught by the wind but it righted itself and kept the fish. E21 gave up for now--had lots to eat this morning.

Journi, YW. It just makes me sad to see them all camped out there, on the sidewalk. :(
But what can ya do :sigh:

LP, that fish looks like a beauty ! Thanks dad. E22 is learning to keep that tail down, when covering food.
They have the rest of the mantel figured out real well. Enjoy your fish sweet pea, before E21 steals it.

E22 went underneath quickly and stole the fish from E21.
@ 4:09 pm. E22 comes up for air. looks around sounds vocals and goes back to devouring the fish. :)
E21 watches. does some winging. Is looking at the ground. Maybe at the horses or wondering what it really out/down there. :chin:
I can picture E21, very soon, just leaping off the nest in the the wild blue yonder. Spreading those beautiful wings and feeling what it's like to really fly.
M quickly leaves the nest in the middle of the wing flurry. He heads low and glides to back of pond area. Birds all scatter. Then another adult eagle (probably a formel), comes in from the west and glide down to where M went. My guess is they are on the ground back there or perched in a tree ??

:eag: Here is my video for yesterday, 3-24-23.

:vid: Link: https://youtu.be/9CppBb-tZXU

"SWFL Eagle Cam 3-24-23. E22 claims Dad's 🐟 delivery; E21 wing flaps on the spike."

Video is a combination of ground and cam footage. M15 delivers and armored catfish, and E22 claims it. E21 does some wing flapping work. When E22 is done eating, E2 takes the leftover piece, and E22 does some wing flapping. Time stamps provided, if interested. Click on any time stamp to advance to that part.

Here are some scaps from my video:

:eag: Here is my other video from yesterday, 3-24-23.

:vid: Link: https://youtu.be/l88DS8HrPcc

"SWFL Eagle Cam 3-24-23. Intruder Steals M15's Delivery, Both to Ground. Ground + Cam video."

Video from 3-24-23; mix of ground and cam footage. (Event started after I packed to leave; had to unpack/set up quickly.) M15 flies into the pasture from the N with a delivery. The intruder is chasing M15, trying to steal the food. The intruder is able to grab onto the food (and/or M15's feet), and both spiral to the ground, slo-mo and normal time. M15 flies to a front pine, and the intruder flies with the food to the W pasture to eat (ground video). M15 heads to the pond, and then the DSPS when leaving the pond (ground video). The intruder leaves (not shown on cam, and I had left). M15 flies down to the leftover food, recovers it, and takes it to the nest. E22 claims the food, E21 steals it. E22 will attempt three steals, with success on the third. M15 is OK. Time stamps provided, if interested. Click on any time stamp to advance to that part.

@ 7:58 pm - 8:00 pm.
Sweet Eaglet moments.
As the sun sets, we had a few minutes to watch the EEs interact. Just being young eager eaglets. Lots of beaking, poking, cuddling.
Nest fun play. Learning things while exploring in the nest. Skills to hone, that will be necessary in their future.
E21 will try and allopreen E22, who isn't having nothing to do with it.
They play pick up and keep away with nest material. A restful end, to a busy day.
M is not seen on camera tonight.
Temp 77° f. breezy
