0929 Here comes M15 with another fish! Harriet announced it first!

0929 Here comes the squeeing Harriet.

0930 Silence falls on the pasture as Harriet eats.

Good morning peeps !
These s'caps from last night. 9:30 pm
Harriet was preening her tail feathers.

I'm not sure what happen next. Either Harriet bumped into M, or just touched him.
He didn't it. So he takes two nips at Harriet !

Oh no you didn't ! Harriet nips back. We now have a stare down.

M will start vocals and look around. This ends the stare down.

**Overall, it was a quiet night. Vocals a couple times. but that was it. Everybirdy got some rest.

M15 brings fresh grass (looks like pulled up roots and all). He aerates and Harriet moves fresh grass. She is never satisfied with where M puts things.

M15 in with whole squirrel. Amazing---looks like fresh intact squirrel, not road kill as usual. Harriet takes squirrel and moves to other side of nest. Waits until M has left and steps away from squirrel. Watchful but does not show any interest in eating. She did eat a whole Lady Fish a little while ago.

M brings a stiff squirrel to the nest. Harriet comes in hot right behind him.

She warns M it's mine. And keeps sounding those soft warning until M leaves the nest.

Harriet still has not ate any of the squirrel. She stands in the nest.

My observations :
*1- Maybe Harriet is saving it for the pantry ?
*2- Last night. Harriet had mouth open and was breathing a lot. Was it that warm last night ?
*3- Harriet now in nest. I see small twitches on her back / mid section ?? 10:42:32 (+ or -) .
So if 1, 2, and 3 add up. Maybe Harriet is about ready to lay that 1st egg ? Today ?

*10:54 Harriet not touched the squirrel yet. She is camped in the nest and breathing hard.

Good morning Lovinnature. Both Harriet and M15 are panting this morning. It is sunny and warm at the nest this morning and they have both been busy. (At 11:34 this morning 82 degrees and feels like 88 degrees)
Harriet is looking up and all around. I saw a large bird flying in circles across the highway. She is probably making sure that large bird does not get her squirrel.

Harriet is both panting and squeeing. Sounds to me like she is calling M15, rather than a warning call. Looks like she has a pretty full crop too.

12:02pm - Harriet in the nest vocalizing at times while looking around her nest tree territory.
Her squirrel gift is still laying in the nest.

Shortly before 12:30 P.M. M15 in with whole fish. Big one too. Harriet claims and puts next to the squirrel. M15 leaves. Quite a full larder she has--you would think she had babies to feed. Egg first Harriet!!!

1234 After staying in nest with her squirrel and fish uneaten, Harriet goes to the attic.
M15 on the attic to the left.

1234 Then Harriet goes up to the cam housing.

1248 M15 flies northwest

1319 M returns to the attic

1327 Bonding on the cam housing!! Noisy!

1328 M15 to the nest.

1331 M is protecting the food on the nest
as a vulture flies around the nest tree quite closely.

1353 A small group of birds fly by Harriet and startle her.
Harriet slips and will go down to nest.

1355 Harriet quickly checks the nest

1400 M brings a thick v-shaped stick. Wonder if he got it from the V tree

1401 Harriet takes control of the stick!

M15 brings big stick to nest. Struggles. Harriet in his way and he hits her with stick. Harriet promptly takes stick away from M. Then she decides to eat squirrel and is in the way again. Poor M!! Wonder how this will end.
