Ron and Rose are working really hard at getting the nest ready. I do believe that we are going to see eggs here a lot sooner than I thought.

Ron and Rose are now starting to come to the nest more often. If you remember they had a very late clutch last season and definitely needed a little extended holiday. Today Rose shows who is the boss as she foots Ron on the nest until he is just curled up lying on the nest. Ron literally plays dead. To Roses's surprise, Ron doesn't get up right away and she starts to lift his tail feathers afterwards I think checking to make sure she didn't kill him. LOL
Ron finally gets up and just shrugs it off and starts spreading the nesting around him. Ron is quite used to Rose now. Should be an interesting season with these two again.

Both Ron and Rose were in early this morning (6.300Am) working on the nest. After yesterday Ron appears to be keeping an eye on Rose. You just never know what she going to do nest. The nest is looking great. It is all filled with nesting and other then the rails are impossible to keep up it looks ready to go. I do predict eggs here soon

Congratulations! Rose & Ron On Your 1st Egg

WOW. At approximately 6.12.4040Pm tonight Rose went into labor and shortly after at 6.18.03Pm the last contraction and Rose showed us right away her and Ron's first eggs of the season.
