R6 took its time hatching out of that shell. Pip started on January 13 and lasted until early this morning when R6 finally broke free. Official Time not given yet

Rose spent the night at the nest while R6 was hatching and flew out early. Ron must have been in the waiting room because he landed seconds later. He looks down to see his new little one and then starts to prepare that squirrel. He has second thoughts about that and slowly makes his way over to brood.

After such a long hatching it appears R6 is hungry. Rose gently tries to feed R6 but its head is still so wobbly, and makes it hard to give R6 a piece. Rose finally does manage to give R6 a few bites before going back to brooding R6

There has been no zoom-in to see if Egg# 2 has Pipped. R6 doing well with small feeding. Ron just brought a fish in so Rose is at the side of the nest
