Update On Connick From CROW And Window To Wildlife
Amazing news! Connick is on the mend! Thank you so much CROW!-From Window To Wildlife
From CROW
Update on Bald Eagle (23-959)/CE9/Connick
The eaglet is still being closely monitored under the prescribed treatment plan after falling from the nest. Upon initial examination, staff noted the loss of several primary feathers and anemia then expressed concern for potential rodenticide poisoning. The eaglet was treated with vitamin K, vitamin B12, iron, pain medications, nutrition, and supportive fluids. When staff took blood work most recently, they reported the eaglet’s blood was clotting normally! The eaglet is eating well, perching, and still receiving supportive medications. Staff is continuing to work to diagnose the eaglet’s feather loss while providing medication under supportive care.

What great news to hear that Connick appears to be getting better other than why those flight feathers came out. I am sure CROW will figure it out and be of some interest if this should happen again and knowing why it did
We all so miss Connick at the nest but he is in the best care.
Good Night Connie, Clive and Connick

Thank you for bringing those reports here, ondabebe - such wonderful news! Still likely a long way to go, but it's wonderful to see that Connick is in the right path, and in the right place to be as he heals.ondabebe wrote: ↑Tue Apr 11, 2023 4:58 pmWhat great news to hear that Connick appears to be getting better other than why those flight feathers came out.
