Good afternoon everyone. Was interesting seeing the interactions between Gabrielle and V2. Gabrielle appeared somewhat tolerant, IMO. We'll continue to watch for any developments. Next up Jc_AEF! Have a great afternoon everyone, and stay safe!

Good Florida evening to everyone (it's early hours of the next morning here, we're 5 hours ahead).
Someone on my YouTube video has commented that there are reasons to suspect that the dark-headed eagle visitor is female, so I checked AEF's Facebook page and this is what they posted 7-8 hours ago:
The visitor from yesterday V2 (2nd visitor) returned to the NEFL nest today and stayed for about 2 hours, spending most of the time in the nest while Gabby kept watch on the LOP (Lookout Point) branch. Gabby vocalized on and off while the visitor was there but did not engage. We are only guessing at this point that V2 is a male as it would be highly unlikely that Gabby would tolerate another female in her nest. This appears to be a fairly large eagle. There have still been no sightings of Samson.

Nice that we can call him by name, V2
(Well, that's as long as he doesn't wash off the lovely tint on his head, cos then I wouldn't recognise him any more )
I'm only just starting to edit some clips from the visit, maybe I'll add it in here if it doesn't take too long.

jd_AEF — 21:08 The visitor was back in the nest again at 8:23 pm...back to LOP again....he flew off at 9:10 pm...it seems he's a night flyer!
jd_AEF — 21:41 Our flying squirrel hopped across Wallenda right next to Gabby...she didn't see him. She may have heard him though..vocals right after it left

gretchen_AEF — 22:12 SATURDAY TUCK-IN: Well, if you've followed the events of the day, you know the visiting eagle from yesterday returned twice today and was quite bold, but not aggressive or terribly disturbing. At times Gabby was vocal, and other times she kept an eagle on the eagle. We have labeled the eagle V2 (visitor #2 since Samson hasn't returned). V2 has been perched at the popular perches on the tree, poked around in the nest (even with Gabby) and finally flew well after dark. Will V2 return tomorrow? I'm betting so. We still pain for Samson. It's still very raw, but we have to go with nature and see what develops. I know the Hamlet will fill with joy again. Gabby is home and fully tucked. SED dear Gabby and you too!
jd_AEF — 23:46 As of 11:45 pm Gabby :GabbyEmoji: is still tucked and snoozing on Wallenda...she seems to be getting some peaceful sleep now. SEDs Gabby!
