Dad brought in a fish.

B16 was dragging the fish around the nest. (for s series of the fish shenanigans check out the BreakFISH tale in a post from this morning)

As Dad remained on the LB, B16 had a nice long rest after breakfish.

Nice lighting on ApprCam and even though B16 was still lying down, I couldn't resist a s'cap of Dad. Dad would head out shortly after this.

B16 got up after the long rest to play with fluff.

And did some nice, high jumping, wingersizes.

B16 settled down to sun/"air out" a bit before lying back down. 16 would get up a few times during the rest to spend a few minutes "airing out". It's was a warm day.

B16 had a nice stretch before getting up.

And UP is what s/he got! Up on the LB/rails.

Up in the air.

Stealth mode wings up, feeling that wind flow over them.

And WAY up!

The wind blew B16's wing off course a little bit and it looked like it startled him/her.

Then, B16 tried to snapped at it. We see a lot of nestlings do this as their wings get more powerful. This seems to happen more often on windy days when their wings aren't going exactly where they expect them to.

Mum brought in a nice sunfish.

She fed B16 for a while, then allowed B16 to self-feed. Mum did some nest keeping while B16 ate. then she retrieved the fish to eat and feed B16.

B16 took a very long food induced nap and rest. The food coma is real y'all.

Mum was so funny watching almost every move.

B16 kept going after Mum left.

Nature's spotlight on our beauty.

Dad delivered sunfish of his own. B16 nibbled at it for a while before (seemingly) asking Dad to open it up . Dad obliged and fed B16.

Dad did his evening duty of making sure most of the bits and pieces of food scattered around the nest and in the rails were eaten. While he was nibbling on one of his found morsels, B16 ran across the nest to check out the rails where he'd found the morsel.

B16 has figured out how to leap from a sitting position, and it's hilarious. Dad departed right after B16 accomplished this feat.

Mum brought in some fluff and left.
