It’s 12:22. BBL

It’s 3:22.Mom is on the nest. BBL

Mom picked up a fish and started feeding at 5:03. Feeding ended at 5:08. Little 2 had the most bites but Little 1 had some too.

Mom left at 5:10. She returned at 5:20 with something but I couldn’t tell what it was. She went to the branch immediately.

Dad brought a at 5:37

Mom dropped down to take over. Feeding began right away and Dad flew to the trees across the way

Little 2 (left) approached while Little 1 stayed behind. Feeding ended at 5:44

Mom went to the branch.

Little 1 is so much bigger than Little 2 that she completely hides her little brother. It can be very unnerving because you think there’s only one E on the nest!

Dad left the trees at 6:35. Mom arrived with a at 7:16

She began feeding Little 1. Little 2-had some too. Feeding ended at 7:34 when Mom went to the branch. She jumped down at 7:37 and continued feeding Little 2 this time. It only lasted a minute then she returned to the branch. Dad arrived to the trees across the way at 7:44. Mom jumped down at 8:17. The Es are sleeping. Dad was still in the trees across the way when it went dark. Mom stayed on the nest until 9:32 when she went to the branch. It’s 10:52.

ANNOUNCEMENT

I’m LEAVING ON A CRUISE TODAY THROUGH SATURDAY. I WILL BE UNABLE TO COVER THE NEST DURING THAT TIME. WHEN I HAVE WiFi, I’ll MAKE SURE WE STILL HAVE AN INTACT FAMILY. SUNDAY, May 22
LITTLE 1 and LITTLE 2 ARE 7 WEEKS OLD

Yesterday afternoon, the Eagle Cam suffered a malfunction. Just a couple of minutes before it happened, I had the chance to capture the Es with a parent watching from the trees across the way. 2:17

Here’s a beautiful view of the healthy and wonderful Little babies at 7 weeks. Little 1 is on the right. I’d like to end this post with this scap. It was taken yesterday before the cam went down. 12:56

I really hope the cam and stream can be saved. Here’s a short video of when it malfunctioned at 2:20

It returned 6 minutes ago!!
It’s 11:00am. A parent is on the trees across the way. BBL

Dad brought a at 12:40. Feeding began right away.

Little 1 got all the bites but only because Little 2 chose to not approach and remain in the back. There was no bonking involved. He must have not been too hungry.

Feeding ended at 12:50. Dad went to the branch and off at 12:51

Dad returned with a at 1:51

Little 2 grabbed the fish and I observed pulling. I don’t know how effective Little 2 was at unzipping being that Dad didn’t do it and hopped to the branch at 1:56 and we saw the fish was still there pretty much untouched.
Little 2 picks up the fish

Little 1 picked up and moved the fish. They’re both picking at it but they’re pinning down abilities are still developing. Dad returned with another at 2:03

This time Dad unzipped and began feeding them a couple of minutes later. Little 1 got the bites because Little 2 was busy trying to eat his own fish. Very good parenting by Dad to leave a “practice” fish for the Es. It’s 4:49. BBL

Seconds later Mom arrived with a and Little 2 mantled it!

Mom hopped to the branch and was off right away.

While Little 2 was working on eating his fish, Mom returned with another . Little 1 jumped at it and Little 2 mantled his fish again. He didn’t care about the second fish, just wanted his space to eat his fish. 4:56

Mom fed Little 1. After finishing feeding Little 1, she left at 5:00.
Mom returned at 5:26 with another

This time they both went for the fish

Little 1 won and took the fish to the other side of the nest. Mom immediately went to the branch and stayed until she moved off camera at 5:45

She ate some of the fish and then fed both Es. She went to the branch at 6:19
Mom arrived holding a in her mouth at 6:37. This is very very rare.

Little 2 took it. Mom went to the branch and off at 6:39
