August 6
Good morning, everybody!
Happy Saturday!
1:04 am Fiona shows up Bensweather.com Forecast Updated: Saturday, Aug 06 @ 12:36am
The flow will remain out of the south to southwest today bringing a slight risk for an afternoon shower to thunderstorm, mainly eastern areas as winds aloft push any storms that develop into the deserts. A little warmer as well with highs in the mid to upper 70's, southwest winds 15-15 mph at times. As high-pressure moves back over the Four Corners tomorrow the flow will turn more from the east and southeast with increasing monsoon moisture once again. The deepest moisture looks to arrive Monday into Tuesday, possibly accompanied by an easterly wave with the potential for more widespread convection. Temperatures will warm further Sunday, cooling next week with daytime highs generally in the 70's while overnight lows drop into the 50's. Thunderstorms will be capable of producing locally heavy rain, gusty winds, frequent lightning, and hail. Seek shelter indoors if a thunderstorm approaches your area. At this time, it looks like some form of the monsoon flow will remain with us through the end of next week, but we could experience a varying degree from day to day which will dictate coverage & intensity.

The flow will remain out of the south to southwest today bringing a slight risk for an afternoon shower or thunderstorm, mainly across eastern areas as winds aloft push any storms that develop into the desert. A little warmer today as well with highs in the mid to upper 70's, southwest winds 5-15 mph at times. As high-pressure moves back over the Four Corners tomorrow the flow will turn from the east and southeast drawing additional moisture back into the area. The deepest moisture looks to arrive Monday into Tuesday with the potential for widespread thundershowers to develop, some possibly drifting west of the mountains. Highs will top out near 80 degrees tomorrow, cooling slightly next week with daytime highs generally in the 70's while overnight lows drop into the 50's. Thunderstorms that develop will be capable of producing locally heavy rain, gusty winds, frequent lightning, and hail. Seek shelter indoors if a thunderstorm approaches your area. At this time, it looks like some form of the monsoon flow will stay with us throughout the week, but we could experience a varying degree of moisture & instability from day to day which will dictate coverage & intensity.
