High pressure will strengthen over the second half of the week pushing daytime temperatures back into the 60's, while overnight lows drop into the upper 20's and 30's. Weak offshore gradients will generate light east to northeast winds around 5-15mph at times, gusty below passes & canyons. High pressure will flatten out over the weekend as another Pacific trough deepens off the west coast. This will lead to some minor cooling, but no precipitation is in our forecast through early next as the action stays north of us, for now.

Building high pressure over the Great Basin will bring fair and warmer weather to the area through the end of the week under a weak offshore flow. Clear skies tonight with light winds as lows drop into the upper 20's and 30's. Expect sunny skies on Thursday with east to northeast winds around 5-10mph, gusty below passes & canyons. Warmer with highs climbing into the mid 60's. Little change Friday into the weekend as afternoon highs remain in the 60's while overnight lows generally cool to the 30's, winds mostly light and variable. High pressure will weaken over the weekend as the onshore flow returns with another Pacific trough moving inland to our north. We'll squeeze out some precip across northern California, but nothing for us here in SoCal. We will experience gusty west winds early next week with some minor cooling, warm again by the middle of the week as high pressure returns. Overall, no major change is forecast into early November as our forecast remains dry for now.
