As expected, a pretty quiet day out there yesterday with thunderstorm activity staying off to our south and east. We'll generally remain on the western edge of the monsoon flow over the next week with a chance for afternoon showers and thunderstorms at times. Coverage and intensity will vary from day to day based on activity over Arizona and any sudden surge in moisture or outflow sent in our direction. Expect partly cloudy skies today becoming mostly cloudy by afternoon with a few thundershowers possible, warm & humid with a high near 80°. Showers and thunderstorms should peak tomorrow, decreasing again on Sunday & Monday. If you have any outdoor activities planned through the weekend keep a watchful eye to the sky and head indoors if a thunderstorm approaches. Looking at a slightly drier, more stable environment through early next week before another surge of monsoon moisture towards the middle of the week.
