12:10:04Pm - Good look at the Eggs. No Pip on this side
Re: Captiva/Sanibel Island Eagle Cam 2021/22
There has been no confirmed sighting of a pip on the eggs but it very hard to see the egg shell even with zoom in since it blurs when zooming
At 7.40Pm Connie is awake and appears a bit restless.

There has still been no official pip call. The spot from the morning is still being watched. Mom and Clive haven't been the most cooperative to get some really good looks. Maybe still tonight. We will see.

Re: Captiva/Sanibel Island Eagle Cam 2021/22
Day #38 for Egg #1
No pip yet but no clear view either
I did some research based on what was posted here on Hancock last season.
* Connie laid her eggs last year Nov4/8 2020 and they both hatched on December 14 of 2020.
* First egg did not pip until the 38th day
* There was definitely delayed incubation on the eggs this season. So if this is Connie pattern (there only 1 season of observation) then today might be the pip day.

Re: Captiva/Sanibel Island Eagle Cam 2021/22
This morning on Chat Lori Covert came on to give a bit of history of the nest
She informed those who were there that last year it was 40 days before the first pip and that Connie has always gone the limit with the eggs
So it appears we still have lots of time for a pip here.
Thank You Lori for the updated info

Re: Captiva/Sanibel Island Eagle Cam 2021/22
Bad storm in Captiva and Connie on the nest riding it out
* First Egg is now way past it time (43 Days) and will not be hatching
* Second Egg is on it's 40th Day.
Can't get a look at them to see if anything is happening but if there isn't it a sad day on the nest. We will just have to wait and see
