NEST ACTIVITY - WEDNESDAY DECEMBER 1st

12:26pm Harriet back to the eggs, gives them a nudge, lowers to resume incubating.

12:29pm M15 to the nest with grass, Harriet helps spread. M15 places grass on Harriet's back, she's vocal.

12:30pm Harriet up to the veranda, up to the outer attic, vocal.

12:31pm M15 lowers to incubate.

NEST ACTIVITY - WEDNESDAY DECEMBER 1st

12:32pm Harriet flies East.

12:41pm M15 moves some grasses around the nest bole.

12:42pm M15 up, repositions himself, incubating.

12:56pm M15 keeps a watchful eye on the pasture area while incubating his eggs.

1:10pm M15 up, rolls eggs, anchors beak and repositions himself over the eggs, pulls in grasses.

1:29pm M15 up, rolls eggs, aerates nest bole, anchors beak and shimmies down over the eggs.

1:34pm Harriet flies in to the outer branch from the West, vocalizing, hops up to the U branch, hidden.

NEST ACTIVITY - WEDNESDAY DECEMBER 1st

2:19pm Harriet flies off the nest tree, low toward the pond.

2:20pm M15 up checks eggs, rolls them a little and settles back down.

2:39pm M15 up, vigorously aerates around eggs, repositions, lines up eggs, did not roll, resumes incubation.

3:00pm M15 up, rolls eggs, aerates around the bole, repositions, anchors beak, lowers and resumes incubation.

3:31pm M15 up, rolls one egg, aerates, shifts his position, anchors his beak and his wings and shimmies back down to incubate.

3:36pm Harriet to the outer attic, vocal. M15 vocal too.

3:37pm M15 up off the eggs, flies off Southwest.

NEST ACTIVITY - WEDNESDAY DECEMBER 1st

4:09pm Harriet up, aerates in and outside of the bole. Repositions and resumes incubating.

Harriet panting to cool off.

4:52pm Harriet rises, aerates a little, changes positions, rolls the eggs, incubating.

5:01pm Harriet back up, aerates, repositions, aerates again, resumes incubating.

NEST ACTIVITY - WEDNESDAY DECEMBER 1st

5:28pm Harriet up, aerates, pulls up grasses, changes positions, rolls eggs, down to incubate, moves grasses around.

5:41pm Harriet up, shifts grasses, aerates, soft vocals, repositions, resumes incubating.

NEST ACTIVITY - WEDNESDAY DECEMBER 1st

5:51pm Harriet vocal, M15 to the attic.

5:52pm M15 moves to the inner limb.

NEST ACTIVITY - WEDNESDAY DECEMBER 1st

6:10pm A warm day closes for Harriet and M15. They exchanged incubation duties throughout the day. Each flew off for a rest and a meal. Harriet is snug in the nest with the eggs tonight and M15 stands guard above on the outer branch. Sleep well

Both pass each other as Harriet goes to the outer attic
and M15 to the attic. Surprised they didn't hit each other.
Maybe they were giving wing hugs.

0622 M to the nest.
