SUNDAY TUCK-IN: What a banner day! NE26 hatched today in the wee hours (4:06am) and had a few meals (or bites) this afternoon. This is one mighty hatchling.....exceptionally big and strong for less than a day old. Samson started with his deliveries yesterday preparing for the family delivering a squirrel and a fish. Today he delivered 3 more fish! He's currently tucked on cam 2 and deserving a good sleep as he remains nest-side. What a mate. What a dad. What a blessing! Gabby is ensuring her hatchling and egg remain covered and toasty warm in these unusually chilly nights. She's another blessing! We are We are on "Pip Watch" for NE27, and be assured your cam team is viewing around the clock to determine an actual pip with faithful jd_AEF at the wheel. Enjoy the night show and what tomorrow brings! Don't forget chat at 9am, folks! SED
9:05a Sam is tucked 9:07p
Gabby tucked back incubating the egg and brooding NE 26
Goodnight Sam , Gabby ,NE26 and eggie Farniente, Ferenz, Marianne and all ...Bonjour Philjo .

sharipf_AEF — 23:02 I have saved my late evening progress report until the end of my shift because I didn't want to scare anyone - LOL- little did you know you had a rookie cam op on for 2 hours tonight! We wanted @jd_AEF to take a catnap because she is the Queen of the dark hours and she will be up with you next. Well, let me tell you, this was a tense two hours - I actually had to check my blood pressure! No kidding - Gabby .... untucked and then .....retucked!!!! The pressure was overwhelming. And then it was wiggle - preen - tuck; wiggle - preen - tuck. I was exhausted. She never got up once - and Samson - bless his dear little heart keeping watch on the cam branch - he never got out of a tucked position once (maybe once) the whole two hours!!! Seriously (who am I kidding) tonight was a blast. I think Gabby is going to hug the nest very closely tonight keeping her precious littles warm and toasty and we may not get many peeks until the morning. I will now leave you in jd's much more experienced hands. Thank you for allowing me a guest appearance - I had a blast!! SED's all and talons crossed we see a pip when we wake up!
jd_AEF — 23:51 Pre-midnight check-in: Well, I cannot top Shari's report so I'll just say that Samson finally woke up and started to scratch and preen as he usually does. Gabby is still protecting those treasures and I'll be watching in case she gives us a good view of any potential pips. I'll keep you all posted through the nighttime hours. SEDs, little family in the nest...love you so!
jd_AEF — 00:25 Gabby was up at 12:22 am for a little stretch...she repositioned and back down again at 12:24 am.
