10:21 am looks to be a lazy morning. Adult is on the long branch and the eaglets are taking turns doing wingers.

10:30 am: Hi, Sandy, Philippe, & Trio fans! I am having a hard time capturing scaps today. When I checked in a parent is on the branch. Two eaglets were standing up, but one laid down quickly next to the one standing. The other is laying in front of the one standing. There was also a cute moment when the one next to the standing one raised his head down & the other lowered her head & they did a couple of beaky kisses.

It's a great event to get outside and enjoy nature. I find it very exciting no matter how many times I see bald eagles.

11:41 am: No parents in view, but I'm sure there is one nearby, just a little out of view of the cam. Three eaglets in view. They are so big now!

5:21 pm when I checked in it look like it was at the end of a meal. The adult flew. And the eaglets practicing their wingers. They are standing so tall.

6:08 pm checking in to see one of the eaglets eating and another doing wingers. Then the eaglet eating did some nice hopping across the nest.

Good evening, Sandy, Philippe & fellow Trio watchers! Dennis Becht visited the nest today. We have some sneak pics of all the pictures he captured today. (used with permission).
The adult in all 4 of these pictures are of Valor 1. He is with the Little Trio in the last picture. They are so big now! Look how their feathers have come in!

The final 2 photos Dennis Becht posted are of 2 of the eaglets, though you can see the back of the 3rd one laying down on the left. (photos used with permission)

7:10 pm: Checked in on the nest. One eaglet is standing at the front of the nest, looking around. The other 2 are laying down in the back, left side. I'm sure one of the parents is perched on a branch nearby, but out of view.

7:14 am: As I was writing the above post, Valor 1 flew in. I don't know if he had a fish, but I think he did.

Valor 2 quickly arrives on the nest. Not sure what was going on, but the Valors stayed on the nest together for about another minute before V1 left.

V2 started cleaning around the nest for a little bit. One of the eaglets gave up on waiting for food & started flapping her wings as the breeze picked up. She did it this 2 or 3 separate times, followed by a wing stretch.

7:19 am: V2 starts feeding the other 2 eaglets. The one that was flapping stayed to the right more than half the feeding.

7:25 pm: The eaglet joins in on the feeding. All 3 are behind V2.
2021-05-15 (34).png
7:27 pm: One of the other eaglets leave the meal.
2021-05-15 (35).png
7:28 pm: Meal is over & one of the eaglets almost knocks over another while turning around.

7:28 pm: Not long after V2 leaves
2021-05-15 (38).png
I think one of the eaglets was self-feeding, but not sure. You can see the eaglet that is laying down with his wing up to the left of the eaglet standing upright.
2021-05-15 (40).png
7:31 pm: the eaglet that appeared to be self feeding moved over to the one laying down & laid down next to him.
