Still dealing with a large amount of drift smoke off the Windy fire located up in Tulare County, there are currently no active fires in our area. Thus far most of the smoke has been aloft, but an inversion may draw some of this smoke down to the surface through Friday morning, those with raspatory issues should avoid outdoors. Otherwise, we're looking at fairly seasonal fall weather with near-normal temperatures as highs top out in the lower 70's. An upper level low in the area could also spark an afternoon shower or thunderstorm, continuing through the weekend. Daytime highs will remain in the lower 70's while overnight lows drop into the 30's and 40's. Low pressure will exit the region Monday ahead of a much deeper Pacific trough. This storm may bring precip to portions of northern California towards the middle of next week as we remain dry. However, we will experience our first big cool-down of the season with highs reaching the lower to mid-60's by Wednesday, while overnight lows generally cool to the 30's, although a few locations could hit the 20's! Fair and gradually warmer late next week.
