Hello night peeps! Went back to the beginning. The night the EEs both hatched. Awwww sweet peas

Both EEs wanted to be out in the air that night. Not under mom. They were only big enough, to give Harriet, toe covers. Not a whole pair of slippers.

M spent the night on guard in the attic. Right above the nest. Close to his honey Harriet , and precious EEs.

Such cuteness! I don't know which E, is which. E18 right?? They look bigger, in just 2days.

This has to be E17, sporting that fancy up doo. Making a great imitation of a woodpecker, with that hair and beak.

Harriet brooding her EEs. And I'm sure that's E18 trying to get out. Because E18 was always trying to get free. Wonder if it was warm then?

M decided to bury the EEs before he left the nest. Maybe so no predators would see them EEs were too young to complain yet.

This picture speaks for itself. I don't want to think about how puffy, their eyes started to look. All that counts, is it all turned out well. Thanks to CROW, and the special work they do!!!! and Thanks to the Pritchett family, for having cameras.

I believe this is the day, the EEs were returned to the nest. They were waiting for mom and dad to come home, so they could "yell" surprise!! We're home and by the way, we're hungry too!

They look so small in that big nest. The setting sun just hits the top of one Es head. But also look how much they have grown, in the week they were at CROW.

The EEs are cuddled up close to Harriet, that night. And Harriet is keeping a good eye on them. So they don't disappear again.

That was such a happy, joyous, blessed day!
H&M be safe, rest well. EEs, you also be safe, and hope you are finding, lots of, comfortable branches to perch on at night. Having many wonderful eagle adventures, with each new day, and always full crops

Good Tuesday morning!

Renest day! I literally have a full folder of scaps from that indelible and incredible day.
We wait for eggs, the pip, the hatch, the branch, the fledge. But that wait for E17 and E18 to be returned
from CROW to the nest seemed endless. E17 and E18 were gone almost seven days total.
CROW did a fantabulous job and we are so grateful for their care.

12/10/20 - 7:06am - One of the many beautiful sunrises that Harriet & M15 enjoy from their nest tree.

5/4/21 - 7:02am - And then...E17 & E18 enjoyed many sunrises together too.

And then we waited again for Harriet and M15 to return to the nest.

2/5/21 0956 E17 decided to provide some entertainment while we waited
and tumbled backward into the nest cup.

0957 E17 trying to get upright and pulls grasses on him/her.

2/5/21 1000 E17 took a rest from trying to get upright.

2/5/21 E17, finally free, telling E18 to be careful and stay away from that side of the nest.
Sure not the same as those nice soft towel nests at CROW.

Journi, you made me laugh so hard with that owl warning sign.

Good Morning Peggy!
I can remember how we all were trying to warn that unrelenting owl away from the nest tree with our thoughts and prayers!
And so that owl warning sign was created!
Thanks to the Zoomies and Vicki for finding that owl family close by in the west pasture...the first time having a (known) owl

2/5/21 1439 After 4 hrs and 57 minutes of the EEs return, Harriet returns to the nest.

1440 E18 welcomes Mom " Hey Mom- we're back! We missed you! "

2/5/21 Harriet gathers her babies and all is good.

And then we waited for M15 to return...I was in tears when M went to the nest

And now we are waiting for season 10!!
And I hope we will not need that owl sign- put it in storage Journi!


My owl sign is filed in my "Warning Signs" file for safe keeping!

Suemac, laughed so hard it hurt! That's the picture I was looking for. E17 falls into nest cup backwards. I bet they did miss their soft nest, at CROW. Thanks for having a whole file for that day. I only remember, them coming home and then I had to go to work. Have a great day!

Journi, that is a great "Owl Sign" I also have your "look for Stuffy" sign.

I think this is M15 when his eaglets were at Crow.
M15 was not happy.
I hope I have the date right.

Hi Sunnybird! That's the right date. CROW removed them, that morning. Poor M. Lost the EEs. Was waiting for Harriet to come home, and try to explain .
*Journi, now I'm curious what is in your "warning" file. My screenshot file titles are, Eagles, and its not really even a file You and Suemac, have inspired me, to google, how to make files, on a tablet. At least by season. Thanks again for the memories, mods/ admin.
