Harriet & M15 Keep Us Guessing... They Visit Both Nests 09-14-21
Harriet & M15 perched in the nest tree overnight before dropping to the nest to check it out and rearrange and aerate some. Harriet flew out to grab a stick or maybe a bird but returned to the west pasture snag by N2 (nest 2) empty taloned. M15 flew to N2 to check it out while Harriet watched him from above. While they were over there both added a stick to N2 before flying through the tree line and out of my sight. H & M have taken sticks to N2 for the past few seasons in the fall when they are rebuilding the original nest but have always chosen the original nest to lay eggs in. Remember eagles are compulsive nest builders and it is not unusual for them to have more than one nest built in their territory.

Good Morning Vicki!
"The New Video Is Here...The New Video Is Here!"
Thank you for sharing your new video with us... and, Thank you so much for showing us that Harriet & M15 are still giving their attention to the second nest (N2) and for your clear explanation as to why some eagles do this.
I knew you would post your new video soon and I did see it posted in the Pritchett's website! Thank you! ~Journi
